Re: Next firmware tree is now 3.10

Okay... seems there's still a problem with SD card corruption and Overclocking going on (latest update installed) ... config.txt snippet: force_turbo=1 init_emmc_clock=500000000 emmc_pll_core=1 core_freq=500 arm_freq_min=700 arm_freq=1000 sdram_freq_min=400 sdram_freq=500 over_voltage=6 With these ...

Re: unrar spanned archive

As RaTTuS wrote on Sep.23, the files should be named x.rar x.part2 x.part3 No, they are named correctly. They can be either .part N .rar, or old-style: .rar .r00 .r01… The problem is that the unrar implementation in package unrar-free does not support multipart archives. http://gna.org/bugs/?723 Th...

Re: Next firmware tree is now 3.10

So the fix should be only:
force_turbo=1 -> set the warranty bit, who care :-)
init_emmc_clock=500000000 -> (the same value as cpu_freq value)
emmc_pll_core=1

Re: Pi as wireless bridge?

That way of doing things is still routing, which will cause issues like what you're experiencing with the TV. The reason why you're experiencing issues is because the packets go from one network to another network. Unless you have port forwarded all the ports required for MiniDLNA from the PI to th...

Re: unrar spanned archive

I usually receive rar files so I have to deal with them and I cannot choose the packing algorithm.
I'm not moving file to the pc because it will take a while copying them via samba (raspberry is connect via wifi dongle to the network).

Re: Pi as a proxy server

In my school I cannot ssh (22) to my raspberry at home (I set port fwd right, from other less protected network I can connect fine to my rasp).
My idea is to use the rasp as proxy (using port 80 that is free) to tunnel all my http request (and also I'll be able to ssh to my rasp).
How can I do this?

Re: core_freq overclock and SD-card corruption.

Thank you!
I'm running raspbian on the raspberry and I use a wifi dongle to connect it to the lan, so speed is not acceptable for this purpose.
I also have an external usb hdd (with its power supply) attached to the rasp, maybe could be a solution tu use it instead of nfs-share.

Nice.I was looking for a topic like this.
I also have corruption if I change core-freq.
I red about something related to SD driver freq and a couple of params to be set in cmdline.txt.

Re: Wake from halt

So the best choice is to use P1-5 with a "listener" that intercept the close circuit and does a shutdown. And for wake up? We were talking about 2 different way of "restart" the rpi: reset Jumper P6 ( but it has the side effect you explained if pushed incidentally) and a switch on the P1-5 that wake...
