I see eth0 and eth1 so I'm guessing that you use the integrated ethernet and a second one via USB, right? I have sorta same thing. But in my case eth0 is the one that disconnects often than wlan0 If that happens I just do $ sudo ifdown eth0 $ sudo ifup eth0 Why do u use iptables-restore, post-up and...

Although those testings don't work, I got the Serial connection working
and I can log into my RPi :D

for tests I use a DB-9 female plug with 2-3, 7-8 and 1-4-6 bridges

worked but after a reboot it's not working anymore...

the adapter is connected to my powered USB hub (logilink, the one from verified peripherals)

yes, only 1 USB drive is connected (the other USB port is taken by wifi adapter ;) )
