Re: Using VLC to stream from the camera - Help needed

yeah, lol
I will prob change the port shortly.
It seems to disconnect me when someone else views the stream so I am not sure if more than one person can view at a time.

Re: streaming via ssh -x issue-NOT - fixed cable not seated

I successfully used disable_camera_led=1 in /boot/config.txt
and that may save some power, but am not sure how to turn off the camera when not in use.

Re: Grainy images

I did test the images and the images are not too bad. I didn't notice a big difference in the images, but is something more to play with. Also I noticed when taking video is has the correct time/date of when it was taken, but pics show up with a file time/date of 1970, is there a way to use the syst...

Is it possible to increase the buffer on the pi so that it is more stable? Would that change anything?

Re: Using VLC to stream from the camera - Help needed

Here is a link so you can see the problem. I am running 640x360 25fps

I get video that moves then stops, then moves again. Do you get the same result?

Ok, I'll try that. Is -mm matrix or --mm average the same thing? If not what is the difference?

Re: Grainy images

Yeah, when inside there is a bit of grain, but I think that is due to lighting too.
At least it is normal, I was hoping I didn't get a bad one or something.

Re: Grainy images

Right now it is pointing out my back window (you'll see a screen in the video). It is sunny and 9am when I captured the video. What I am talking about is most noticable on the bark of the tree. Try this link, there should be both the original and converted video. To capture video I used: raspivid -v...

Re: Using VLC to stream from the camera - Help needed

I am unable to get a steady stream. I can't get RTSP working outside my internal network, but can get HTTP working, the problem is it seems to run for a second and stop until it reloads and then stops again (just looks like a pic and not showing any motion). Here is the streaming command I am using:...

Grainy images

I have noticed that my module has grain (specs that seem to be constantly moving). Does anyone else have this issue? I have a test.h264 clip, but not sure how to upload to show you.

Re: Using VLC to stream from the camera - Help needed

Yeah, I actually used that blog to try, but there are a lot of VLC players on the app store so I picked 2 I thought would work.
I tries VLC Direct Pro, and Joe's VLC and they didn't work. I also tried MX Player, but no success.

Could you point me to the link for the VLC you use that works?

How do you change the resolution to run at 60fps and 30fps in 720 mode? I change the width and height using the -w 1280 -h 720 but can't tell what the FPS are and how to switch.

streaming

I was able to get streaming working but I have to manually specify an IP, does anyone have a way to just hit the IP via a browser or like VLC and be able to see the video?
