I've just made a backup copy of the 4GB SD card supplied with my RPi from Maplin. I used Win32diskimager and the 'img' file created is about 4GB. I thought it might create a file containing only the space actually used on the card, but it seems to have included 'empty' SD card space. If I later rest...

I don't think I needed command line stuff (although on the different OS raspbmc I did) I am in work so can't look at stuff, but as I remember in the wifi config screen You will need the name of you router ( sid ) You will need the authentication key from your router ( mine uses wep authentication )...

Yes I have a desktop screen and I've tried various settings in the wifi config.

I'm obviously doing something wrong

Got my RPi kit from Maplin last weekend and can't get the wifi sorted out using the dongle that came with the kit. RPi is 3 feet away from BT router. I'm confused by the wifi config settings. It doesn't seem to want to connect although it does detect the router. Password entered is correct. Any help...
