Re: Uae4arm: Amiga emulator with JIT and DispmanX

Giving the lack of response since I poised my question, should I assume not much has been done with mapping?

I thought I'd chip in here as mapping is being mentioned. Has anyone tried mapping the joystick ports on the keyrah?

Re: Changing SFTP default DIR

Thanks to everyone who tried to help. Fortunately found help on the Ubuntu forum and got it working. Will probably write a guide on how to get this set up to help other RPI users.

Re: Changing SFTP default DIR

I know it's been said I should create an unprivileged user account for sftp over the web. The would still permit the user to delete, create files whole logged on the server right?

Re: Changing SFTP default DIR

I'll give that a read, coincidentally I had intended to share a folder on a USB pen. Instead of the SD card.

I want to leave the SD card for the OS and the USB pen for storage.

Re: Changing SFTP default DIR

I'm alright with filezilla dropping me in to the root directory of the SD card. But I would like to have the option of sharing a space with friends, one that leads to a none critical folder on the SD card like "Guestfolder". Setting up another user account makes perfect sense, I just need to look in...

Re: Changing SFTP default DIR

Hi guys I'm doing this to educate myself in setting up a private FTP server, something I've never done before. So there are bound to be things I'm going to do wrong. The role of the server is to - Provide a centralised home storage area for documents and photos that I can access when away from home ...

Re: Changing SFTP default DIR

Right so if i follow...I can't do it with my existing default Pi account as it's the main admin account, but if i make another which isn't an admin account, it should work as it wont have root access, like the Pi account does.

I'm a little bit shaky on how I ensure its created in /home/

Changing SFTP default DIR

Hey guys

Out of curiosity is it possible to set the PI so that when I log in with SFTP it doesn't just go directly to root?

Could I even setup up more then one account, say for another user that goes to a folder just for them?

Changing Console Colours

Hi everyone

Doesn't anyone know how i might change the console colour scheme? I've built a retro looking portable pi and would like to alter the screen to green text, black background or orange text, black background.

I tried using setterm -foreground green -background black, but nothing happens

Control kodi FROM GPIO??

I'm wanting to make a pi zero into a tiny kodi box for a portable TV. Only thing is I was hoping to integrate the controls into the pi enclosure. My first option is to hack a USB controller but I was wondering whether or not using the gpio pins with some micro switches might work?

3D CAD software for Pi?

I realise this might be a stretch, but does the Rpi have any software for designing models for 3d printing?

I've been using TinkerCad but the Pi sadly doesn't have a browser good enough to run it.

Hi there

I've not updated the emulator since 0.4, because of the performance issues. How is the latest version fairing now? Any better?

Re: RPI2 Activity and HDD LED Reassign?

Hey that really won't work for this project, but an interesting approach.y

I want to physically connect a larger 3v led to the front of a custom case. I had read that you can reassign it to one of the gpio pins.

Re: RPI2 Activity and HDD LED Reassign?

Light pipes whats that? I already have the case all wired up, i just need to get the LED to work. If all else fails, guess I'll have to desolder the on board LED's and tap in to the pads underneath.

RPI2 Activity and HDD LED Reassign?

Hi guys I would like to assign the activity and power LEDs to a GPIO pin, so that I can solder a set of LEDs to the front of a case I'm building. I know that to do this, requires reprogramming the RPI, I'm just not so clear on how this is done and would really appreciate a little help please. Many t...

Re: Problem with Ultra Slim Keyboard

You've actually raised a good point. I have a BT Apple keyboard which might be worth checking against this keyboard. Sorry if I was a bit short, but as you can imagine. Having only half a working keyboard and not even the faintest hint to a fix, is utterly frustrating. I'd hoped posting on the forum...
