Re: Uae4arm: Amiga emulator with JIT and DispmanX

Hi there It's been a while since I updated my install of UAE4ARM, but after compiling the latest build I've hit a couple of snags. Suddenly my 'Enter' key no longer acts as a fire button and the 'Control' key doesn't bring up the menu anymore. Has my PI3 just compiled this wrong or something? Becaus...

Re: Fresh Install not acting right after update

Hi guys First the screen is hooked up via the composite out, it only take ground and 5v from the gpio pins. I hadn't thought about expanding the sd card, thats a very good suggestion. I've JUST this second, rewrote the image back to card and booted back in to raspbian. First I'm going to disable aut...

Fresh Install not acting right after update

So I'm putting together a new build with a small 4.5" screen. I have a RT5370 dongle from the piHut, which only seems to work AFTER i upgrade Jessie. The only problem is that twice now when I've updated, my install becomes pooched. Jessie is setup to automatically boot startx and after both updates,...

Getting larger text on 4.5" screen

Hey guys

I wasn't sure where I should post this problem. I've setup my pi with a small LCD screen and the text in terminal is rather small. Is it possible to make the text bigger or knock the resolution lower?

Cheers

Re: PI3 activity LED what's changed

Alrighty then :) I've fixed it! Or should I say, Sudo apt-get upgrade fixed it. As it was so rightly pointed out, the pi3 has the LEDs rerouted, I think this is because of the wifi and Bluetooth taking up addresses. Anyways, because my sdcard was setup for my pi2b, it was booting up and behaving lik...

Re: PI3 activity LED what's changed

I'm still not sure how that effects the LEDs, as all I've done is extended them off the mother board. Exactly as I'd did before with my pi2.

Question- Considering I've been using the same sd card I had in my pi2, would the LEDs act differently on the pi3 because the card prevoiusly in the pi2?

PI3 activity LED what's changed

Ok, last year I built myself an Amiga 600 rpi, using a rpi2 as the brains. I extended the power and activity led from the PCB and connected them to the Amiga's power and hdd lights. All was well me everything worked fine. I've now upgraded the machine to the pi3 and suddenly I've no activity led, it...

Hi there

I'm based in Sheffield, I'm not sure if there are any meets, but certainly think this is something that needs addressing. Such as a group forming for the South Yorkshire region :)

Re: Uae4arm: Amiga emulator with JIT and DispmanX

I'm also eager to see if key mapping is developed close the WinUAE, I have a Keyrah fitted inside my AmigaPi and would love to have UAE4ARM mapped so that I can make use of it. The Keyrah has two joystick ports, mapped to the num pad and cursor keys. If I could map the emulator to use those keys, I'...

Re: Uae4arm: Amiga emulator with JIT and DispmanX

Hi guys Just updated to the latest version of uae4arm, was hoping there had been some progress improving the control system, such as defining keys for the joystick etc, like you can in Win-uae. I hope this is a planned feature for uae4arm, as I know I'm not the only person who would like to play gam...

Re: LibreOffice crashing way to often

I'll look in to that thanks, running from terminal hadn't crossed me mind. Sometimes after the system has been on for a while, it will lock up. Everything will appear to be working, but nothing will execute, click terminal icon, nothing happens, try control + alt + F1 and it wont exit x.org. If I've...

LibreOffice crashing way to often

Hi guys I dont know if i'm expecting any advice on this, but certainly feel a need to rant as this has been annoying me for two days now. Just setup the latest distro of Jessie on my PI2, everything seemed to be going fine, until I tried writing out an article for my blog using libreoffice. It repea...

Re: Uae4arm: Amiga emulator with JIT and DispmanX

Hi Chips The problem I'm having with the keyboard, is that it doesn't look like it is being registered properly by the emulator. I think AmigaPI was looking in to it and said they had found something was wrong. In Workbench, I ran the program keyshow, which gives you a graphical representation of th...

Chips on a totally different subject and not wanting to sound like a broken record. Are there any plans to improve or look at the keymapping in uaerarm? So that it's a little more versatile like winuae?

Re: Uae4arm: Amiga emulator with JIT and DispmanX

Save your favourite profile as the one named UAE default or what ever its called. As for setting UAE to boot up straight away, check the forum, there will be something covering this, I'm sure :-)

Re: Uae4arm: Amiga emulator with JIT and DispmanX

As far as I understand it, the UAE default profile is loaded at startup. As for getting UAE boot on start up, that should be easy. As you can set the pi to boot startx instead of going in to terminal.

Re: Uae4arm: Amiga emulator with JIT and DispmanX

Well today has certainly been interesting to say the least. I downloaded retropi to a new kingston 32gb class 4 SD card and installed it in my original RPI2b, this is the computer I dont mess about it. It sits inside a nice little pibow case and it used for testing software etc. I have to say, setti...

Re: Uae4arm: Amiga emulator with JIT and DispmanX

I've just written an image of retropie to an SD card and I'm going to try it out in a bit to see if it makes any difference. I honestly dont know what could be causing this issue, the emulator plays games relatively well. I have noticed however that even after recompiling the latest source. When I e...

Re: Uae4arm: Amiga emulator with JIT and DispmanX

I recompiled the source last night, and increased my GPU memory share to 256mb. But UAE still struggles with the sound. It's almost like it is speeding up and slowing down, fortunately I have another PI2 which I'm going to try the emulator out on. I can't swap memory cards out so easy with the Amiga...

Ok, so something Is clearly not right. I might have to recompile it. @Windale 1. How is your memory split? 2. What model of SD card you running, specifically speed class 4? 10? 3. Where is your audio coming from HDMI or audio jack? Thank you for testing the game for me, I was certain something was w...

Now could you do me a favor? Run Stunt Car racer and tell me if your sound is crackling? Because On mine it is dreadful and I have to turn it off. In fact I've not had good sound in a single game thus far.
