Re: PiKrellCam: motion vector detect + OSD web interface

Thanks Bill, I am able to successfully archive media files and also perform the above steps manually. But the media files are created with owner pi:pi and mode: 600. This remains the case with the archived media files, too. This means that the content of the media can't be displayed through the web...

Re: PiKrellCam: motion vector detect + OSD web interface

I've been using the software for a while. Great stuff! I can't thank you enough. I just noticed today that my NFS set up is incorrect. The web interface doesn't seem to have correct premissions to any media, even manually created stills and videos initiated in the web interface! All the media files...

Re: PiKrellCam: motion vector detect + OSD web interface

Thanks I got that to work now. I can see that is helpfully documented in the help pages too. I wondered if it would make more sense to trigger this sort of parsing script on an on_motion_end event otherwise you would miss any triggers that happen in the motion_event_gap? I'll have a play with that ...

Re: hardware pwm without wiringpi or other libraries

When I added builtin servo control to my camera app I also did not want other library dependencies. Here's a standalone hardware pwm test program I wrote at the time. It is structured to control servos with pulse widths between 1 ms and 2 ms and it restarts via sudo if run as normal pi user, Pins 18...

I'm not using servos, the camera is fixed in a birdbox, so havent needed to modify the servo settings from default. Newbie, so I apologize for what is probably an obvious question. I have the software setup 'out of the box' with no real changes, other than starting the system and clicking enable:motion. Hey guys! I'm using Compute Module, to which I'm able to connect two cameras via CSI port and I wonder if there is a way to define which camera is PiKrellCam using? Re: PiKrellCam: motion vector detect + OSD web interface

Looks to me that parsing and graphing out some key log file entries might be the simpler option for cars (events) counting. For now I did extract and manipulated the file in XLS. I can only delete 999 files if I select all files.
As sometimes i get ~3000 files per day it can take a while to click on each file and delete them until there is only 999 files left
Could be an argument list size limitation somewhere and might need a custom delete script to work around it.

I’m really enjoying this excellent software. Is there a way to directly emit a full-resolution still to standard output from a shell script? Re: Anyway to record video and audio on RPI3?

PiKrellCam records audio. You don't have to enable the motion detection and just use it as a camcorder it to get audio/video recordings.

Re: PiKrellCam: motion vector detect + OSD web interface

Hi, I try to use an RPI IR Cut auto filter camera with pikrellcam. My goal is to activate this filter by using in the at-commands.conf file "sunrise" and "sunset".
