Re: wifi dongle and bluetooth

As above stated logout and run raspi-config but after that you may need to upgrade you Raspbian Wheezy, it is best to boot to command line and get used to working outside GUI to learn more.... http://www.raspberrypi.org/archives/2008 If you have changed the configuration to boot to command line afte...

Re: Simple Networking Distro

Hey guys, I'm interested in using a Pi for a simple network bridge. Power efficiency and stability are my main two concerns. Thus far, I've only tried out Raspbian and RasPBX on the Pi, but I would like to find a better suited distro. I realize this is a pretty trivial task and any number of distro...

Re: PROBLEM WITH CONNECTING MICROMAX 3G DATA CARD TO R PI B

What is a data card ? Is it a USB 3G Dongle if so... USB 3G Internet Dongles, which has to be plugged into a USB Mains Powered Hub, can be configured to work using the Sakis3G software. Download sakis3g.tar.gz archive and unpack the sakis3g file: http://sourceforge.net/projects/vim-n4n0/files Naviga...

Re: wifi dongle and bluetooth

What Operating System have you installed Raspbian "Wheezy" ?

USB Peripherals are recommended to be plugged into a USB Mains Powered Hub

Linux does not use drivers par-se, and many peripherals are recognised out-of-the-box.

Re: Ubuntu One on Pi

The last version of Ubuntu for ARMv6 is Ubuntu 9 AFAIK. Don't know the codename. ghabs Ubuntu targets the ARMv7 and above Application Processor family (Cortex A8, A9 and above). Currently the archive supports ARM EABI, with an expectation of minimum compliance with the ARMv7+VFP ISA. Where possible...

First and foremost Raspbian IS NOT Debian Wheezy, it is compiled from Debian Wheezy ARMHF ARMv7, the Pi has ARMv6 Architecture Secondly the links you posted is in relation to x86 architecture, Ubuntu have given up on ARM Ports of the 'Buntu family, hence why Ubuntu was not ported to the Pi. https://...

I am still learning and can follow instructions, but on 2 attempts it goes into a loop with scrolling text.
