Re: Is 512mb a good thing?

I ordered a Pi in October from Element14 and their shipment is not due to arrive until early November.

I am hoping that I receive a 512MB version. I emailed them this morning to inquire which I would receive because I want the 512MB one.

Re: List of Android images??

When it comes to workin with an android install, I've decided to go the route of the ODROID-X for my tinkering needs. Yeah, I know it's far more expensive than the Pi, but I am at the point with my Pi that it's tweaked enough. It's time to use it so I'm mounting it to the TV this weekend. I'll tinke...

Re: Buying a RP in the USA

When I decided to order a Pi, I ordered through Element14 From the time I placed the order to the time I plugged it in and booted it up for the first time was 5 days. Of course, I was lucky to order when I did because there was no back order. My second one is not due to ship until 1 November at the ...

Re: RPi-config resizing and mixing SD cards

Gonna chime in here and say that's probably a good suggestion.

I have 3 identical (supposedly) 16GB Lexar cards. Two of the three format out at 14.9 and the third formats at 14.88 (Example numbers supplied as I cannot remember the actual values off the top of my head)

Re: XBMC on Raspbian wheezy (install error)

If you're looking for XBMC on Pi have you tried Xbian yet?

I admit I like booting up to the command prompt first, then loading X more than booting to XBMC straight away, but at least with Xbian I can ssh into it from my other machine sitting next to it if I need to run commands

Yet another revision to my case

I decided the 60GB SSD was too bulky for my needs so I picked up a US Robotics USB 3.0 card reader that accepts multiple SD Cards simultaneously. I threw two 32GB cards in it and added a couple USB Sticks I had lying around. Now I have about 110GB of space on the Pi so I took it to work today to see...

Re: Mounting the Pi inside of a monitor

Buy a dead monitor off ebay and take it apart to see if there is room for the unit. If so, use it as the mock-up and refine your install before attempting on a good LCD.

If it doesn't work, throw the monitor away.

Cannot Install RaspBMC. All others OS's are fine

I have an RaspBMC issue that I cannot seem to figure out. When I first built the RPi I burned Wheezy to one SD Card and RaspBMC to another. Between the two, I preferred the RaspBMC and used it for 3 or 4 days until I experienced a SD Card corruption issue, so I tried recreating the RaspBMC image on ...

Re: New wiki page for troubleshooting

I too had issues with finding a decent Charger/PSU for the RPi. The HTC one I ordered after checking the compatibility list simply is not up to snuff, even though it was listed as compatible. It works fine with my Droid 1 so I swapped it out with the Moto charger. That said, I will likely move over ...

Re: My Lego Case Effort

Here's a few pics I took today when I got home. The case is more a proof of concept for the SSD Holder and USB Hub Station than anything else. I used some of the pieces out of the two 704 piece kits to make it. The pieces used to make the case are not among the pieces on the bed. http://imageshack.u...

I like it! It is nice to see so many different users who go the lego route, and end up with totally different looking cases. I did much the same, and then last night when my powered USB hub arrived, I built it into the case. It sits on top of the pi unit. Since i had so few pieces, I went a little c...

Re: Cannot see past Router

I'm back. And this time, I'm on my RPi box. It would seem the one area I ignored as not being relevant (my wireless AP) was the cause of the issues. I'm not sure how it got it, but when I did a tail of resolv.conf, it was pointing at my DAP-1522. I must have tried one of my wireless dongles at some ...

Cannot see past Router

My RPi can see all my networked devices, but cannot access the internet. I have made no entry or configuration change to the Router other than to reserve the IP for the RPi, like I do for all other networked devices. This has me stumped so I would appreciate some suggestions. Network Configuration: ...
