Re: LAMP

As Virtual Ram I guess you mean like the Page File in windows. To be honest using the HDD probably would not help as HDD access is alot slower than RAM access, but you never know, it may help.

<t>After reading some other members comments I am starting to worry if R-Pi will go the way of many great projects in the past and vanishing.<br/> <br/> From what has been released about the R-PI at the moment, I and probably others think that its got everything it NEEDS and hope that you guys focus...

Re: LAMP

It SHOULD be perfect for LAMP and I am intending on running one R-Pi as a LAMP sever myself. Ofcourse you would probably need to add additional storage and bare in mind that its not a full blown server, a small is site should be fine, just dont expect it to host something high demanding.

This is pritty right winged and a suggestion for way down the line, but have you thought of using an APU rather than the CPU + GPU combo.

When the alpha version is ready seeing as you have sent off for the boards to be manufactured already. Would it be possible to purchase one of the alpha's. I am eager to get my hands on one and have a tinker with the possibilities.

Come to think of it, I would probably violate some EULA's by hacking a Rasberry into my Acer Monitor as a non-hackintosh hackintosh

I was wondering, with it only having one USB host. Would it be able to support a USB hub to extend its usability, such as connecting an external hdd, wireless dongle, usb mouse and usb keyboard.
