Re: Retro Pie and 2 Player Atari

The latest version of the binary install fixes this, I tested it with some Roms and it works well. The Libretro core does not have the audio lag that the standalone Stella had, so the core works pretty good now, even with 2 players. Also surprisingly, I was able to play 2 player Donkey Kong Country ...

I wonder how much extra cycles you could get by having the option of disabling audio. It would be better than nothing.

Nice thread necro

On that note, my NasPi uses 2x3TB Seagate external drives that worked out of the box after using gparted to format them

Re: Atari to USB Driver

I was thinking about trying one of those retrobit adapters until I read that it really only works well in Windows.

I'm not guessing someone who knows what they are doing could get it working?

The Retrobit 2 port adapter would be the perfect fit for a Model A Atari emulator box :D

Re: Jedi academy

Well, JKA is a game based on the Quake 3 engine, its not not just a mod for Quake 3.

It would probably need to be compiled from source to run on the Pi.

Re: Simple Raspbian, XBMC, questions...

Pretty much everyone is in agreement that OpenELEC runs faster than RaspBMC, but it has less features. I didnt have much luck with RaspBMC, so I switched to OpenELEC and have been happier ever since. Suggestion: Get a different SD card for each purpose. For example, I have 1 card for OpenELEC, and a...

Re: How to change the start directory on FTP?

I'm assuming there is no way to specify home folders for certain users right?

Not that I need to, but the Windows Filezilla server let you specify home folders all over the place, which was nifty.

Re: Ubuntu on Raspberry Pi

I don't know if its because I'm a noob, but why exactly isn't Raspbian a good enough Ubuntu replacement? They both are Debian based and its not like Ubuntu is going to run more applications than Raspbian can. Ubuntu got pretty bloated throughout the years, in my eyes, its pretty much the Vista of th...

Re: Getting Music to work in PRBoom Doom Emulator

Yeah, I tried the midi thing last night with no success, then I looked at the console after exiting and saw it was trying to read a mp3.

I would like to find the original music if possible, but that's a quest for another time.

I don't think you read the site, I'm not talking about actual midi files but the instrument files that are used to play the music.

Does anyone know of this will work on the Pi?

The LittleBox Project on Kickstarter

I initially saw the article about it and the first thing that crossed my mind was "cool, someone is making a kit to turn your Pi into a cheap All in One PC, that's pretty neat!" Well, I looked at the kick starter page and was ashtonished by what the kit actually costs, it seems pretty outrageous in ...

There was a fairly working N64 emulator for the PSP when I had one like 5 years ago, I'm not sure how it compares though.

I would look it up, but my tablet does not support Flash, you should reconsider using it for your website since mobile devices, not to mention the Raspberry Pi, can't use it.

Instead of constantly fooling with wifi, I would like to get an access point so I can take the wifi and convert it back down to Ethernet to save on a headache (and to not worry about powering a USB wifi adapter) I'm looking for something like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82...

Easiest to use music streamer?

I'm pondering the idea of making a Pi wifi radio for my father using a cheap 7 inch LCD hooked up to his existing stereo with the 3.5 mm out, so I'm not looking for hardware hacks, just some music streaming software that a 58 year old non techie can figure out with ease, and looks OK on one of these...
