@Mad-Hatter.... I had a similar problem (maybe not the same). I was using NOOBS and @ShortTie suggested using plain vanilla Raspbian. RPi Cam is working brilliantly.

@ pistoi0, I would suggest dumping NOOBS and just loading the raspbian image directly to the card. It seems to cause more problems then it is worth at times. Is any one using the Puppy RasPi referred to in the title ? Runs a bit faster that Barry's Puppy Squeezed pup. 01Micko's is Wheezy based I believe and it needs work.
