Re: Too high voltage? (PSP PSU 5.4 V)

Why not add your own voltage regulator? You could use something like the L7805; http://www.rapidonline.com/Electronic-Components/L7805cv-5v-1a-Voltage-Regulator-st-47-3290 I have a big stash of these lying around for other projects, I don't have any PSUs running spare to use for the Pi but I might b...

Re: XBMC

So can I install this through pacman yet?

Just wondering if it's worth switching from Raspbmc to Arch with XBMC but I don't have the time or patience to build it myself thee days.

Re: DIY Simple Raspberry Pi case

Sorry, I guess you guys in England don't need reticulation. :D Here in Australia (the driest continent on the planet) we usually have some sort of piped water system to keep our gardens alive through the summer. Otherwise it all gets a bit crispy. Riser tubes are small (4mm inner diameter) pipes th...

Re: RPI and pico projector

I wanted to keep the theme movie oriented so I might stack two vhs tapes and glue them together and have a hole between them to run the wires through, I also just got a 1TB portable hard drive that I would also like to have in the case. IMG_20120811_231859.jpg Do you know if the ports power externa...

Re: piworks case a dud?

Can't you double sided sticky-tape it down? Inside the case? Or stick some little guides in there that hold it firmly in place? The beauty of this whole RPi thing is that you can fiddle with it. Do what you want. Experiment. I'm making a wooden (pie) shaped case for mine that i'll post up once I get...

Re: What have we missed?

<t>Want to jump in here and say the same thing as previous, being the kind of person that likes to kill my devices a lot, to the point of needing a JTAG, it would be nice to see a restore feature for example having a particular disk image file on a USB pen drive present at pre-boot would cause a "re...
