Re: C: Anyone found working Soundplaying Api / library?

First off try lsmod to see if any of the sound drivers are loaded. If they are loaded the output looks like this [email protected]:~$ lsmod Module Size Used by snd_bcm2835 15388 0 snd_pcm 49240 1 snd_bcm2835 snd_timer 13560 1 snd_pcm snd 31624 3 snd_bcm2835,snd_pcm,snd_timer snd_page_alloc 2660 1 snd_p...

Re: Help - non-GUI python media player...

Some distros don't include mp3 decoders by default and you have to install them seperately. That will effect how well mpeg support is under pygame.

Re: Help - non-GUI python media player...

Hi I would look at using the media playback functionality of pygame, it already has most of the features you will want like queue etc... http://www.pygame.org/docs/ref/music.html Also to get listings of files in directories us os.walk rather than running stuff via shell and reading the output from a...

Re: Best Database

Hi

If you don't care about SQL, then a native python object datastore called ZODB is available.

http://www.zodb.org/

It has a single DB file support and can also transparently support network access to
are remote store by using ZEO.

Cheers

Re: Mobile site updated to look prettier and work better

I have never bothered to go past the front page.  On the Nokia N9 the page always only takes up about half the screen width in either landscape or portrait.  It seems the styles are constraining the width.  This is the only site I have seen so far that causes this behaviour.

Re: 'Holding' the PCB

I have used polymorph plastic  http://www.sparkfun.com/products/10951 to

make custom brackets for mounting an Arduino clone in enclosures.

Could be worth a look.

If your willing to look at serial displays then seeedstudio have some relatively cheap

ones with touch support.
