Re: RetroPie ver 2.3. The Pictoral Primer.

Hey there, Firstly, this guide has been the most helpful for building my RetroPie system out of any others, but I am encountering 2 problems that I am unable to find solutions for. 1. I have a Tomee SNES controller that emulation station recognizes, but it won't let me map buttons X and Y, it doesn...

The a31has a power VR sgx 544. I think. The sata port peaks my interest but I would have to see some numbers before I put down for one.

Re: Creating Arcade Machine..

Hey dude and thanks for the response. I have used it a bit but I believe the configurations do not allow you to map joystick to keyboard input. Cheers There are Xboxdrv options to config your inputs as key presses but it will require something be compatible with that driver. Why not just use a kb e...

Re: new purchase as media player

You have been using Linux for 20 years and you still haven't found your shift key? The R Pi will play MKV files depending on what is in them. MKVs are just containers they can contain any video or audio format. Some play just fine, some require a codec purchase, some just won't play. Mpeg 4 play fin...

Re: Proposal: a cheaper model A+ variant

Seriously, what would be real cool (for me at least) would be a Pi with male headers on the bottom arranged so the pi could plug right into a solder less breadboard with no cables and adapters. I think that would be a bad idea as most (at least half) of the bread board would be obscured by the pi p...

Pressing Tab while in the emulator (mame4all) should open a config menu I think.

I think they should be free, paying for them is getting old.

Re: Vidéo HD

There are still colour depths, data rates, and formats that the pi can't play even if you have the two extra codecs. 10-bit colour is one that comes to mind.

It's there in the developer menu which is hidden. Go to general -> about device. On that screen tap build number 6 times.

Re: Android ART runtime on 4.4+

I tried it on a tablet and it caused some apps to crash so I had to switch back. The battery life seemed about the same. The tablet is running CM11, I don't know if that makes a difference. I think most are doing worse with ART than before so Google still has work to do before their claims on batter...

Re: How do you convince your not technology advanced parents

It sure would be nice if a forum moderator or even better someone from the foundation would take fifteen minutes to create a small outline of what the pi is and what it's total package cost (keyboard, wifi.) Will run with a needed and not needed note on each item. Sounds like the op needs a little a...

Re: RetroPie Emulation Station MAME roms help

It seems to be Mame4All-RPi but I am not sure With iMAME4ALL and MAME4ALLPi you will need v0.37b5 or v0.37b11 ROM SETS, AdvanceMAME uses slightly newer revisions (don't remember which off hand). However, many sites wont list them as which ROM Set they belong to, only as ROM revision (Set1, Set2 etc...

Re: Overclocking

I think the firmware is limited to about 1.3Ghz. There is a custom firmware floating around that will allow more. Most of the people getting more than 1.1Ghz are doing custom voltage and power regulation. Overheating is not an issue. Plus what was said above about other components in the chip failin...

I was hoping to see sata ports on it for that price. The feature list is impressive. It's the first time I've seen a physical product with a HDMI 2.0 port.

I would take this as a sign that they are going to try shoe horning products again. With their next core i5 process shrink rumored to put the chip in the 8 to 9W range I'm sure they think they will have an atom in the sub 1W range soon after.
