Unfortunately hdmi_force_hotplug=1 didnt work. After changing input, simplink stops working. Double check if the skip+ & - works and let me know please. I would like to use them for xbmc volume. Has there been any improvement with corruption on some boards from overclocking?

I have one 512MB board, even with arm_freq=800 after a few reboots it becomes corrupted. Is this something that may be fixed with firmware updates or will some hardware always be prone to this.

I had the same issue with any sort of overclock on 512MB board that it would cause corruption. (Might happen without overclock too given enough time, I havent tested it for long periods) The gpu overclock had the biggest affect, even a overclock by 1 would suffer corruption on first reboot consisten...

My understanding was that the OP has a relatively small partition (1GB) on a large 4GB card and only wanted to back up the used data (ie. the small, 1GB, part) and not the entire card, which is mostly empty. Sorry cant help but I did experience files being corrupted being caused by overclocking the gpu. (cpu and ram overclocked no problem and other board is fine with gpu overclock)

Remember that just the partition means exactly that, therefore no boot sector! That has to be done in another operation. Cheers the response. Ok I see what you are saying, there will boot sector information that resides outside of the partitions I see. (It lives in the 'unallocated space'). Bugger....

SD Card Image Exclude Unallocated Space

I have been using win32diskimager and it works great. Problem is I change between SD cards 2GB and 4GB in size. Only about 1GB is actually partitioned, the rest is unallocated space.

Is there a way to take SD card images and restore them so that they exclude unallocated disk space?

Sorry this has probably been asked many times. Normally to update firmware on OpenELEC I would just get the latest bootcode.bin, loader,bin and start.elf and replace the old ones. For Raspbian and such is the manual process for updating firmware the same? and is there anything that attentional needs...

Seems fishy considering the most current build is OpenELEC-RPi.arm-devel-20121020212708-r12220.tar.bz2 http://sources.openelec.tv/tmp/image/openelec-rpi/ I would call it something other than an updated build number like try my custom port of it, anything but adding a number to their building scheme...

Are you saying that the nornal openelec builds are not running with the GUI at 1080p? I'm running build r12195 and the system info page seems to think its running at 1920x1080 @ 60 Hz and the TV thinks its on a 1080p source?
