Actually i would disagree, there is a performance boost, it may be small but still existent not only that the 99p head sink will increase the longevity of board, would highly recommend a heat sink i anyone is going to be overclocking there board and anything over 75C on a arm processor will start to...

Samba speed please help !

I have my samba set up to share my external hard drive, which is powered via the plug socket. I am getting a write speed of about 2 megabyte a second but a read speed of 300 kilobyte a second When plugged into my laptop i get speeds of about 30MB/s for read and write. I really needed at least 1-2 me...

I have managed to get it to work, i was missing an ntfs-3G module, which is required for a ntfs file system i am currently experiencing a new issue now i have the nas set up. I am getting 0.2-0.3 mb/s when reading but when writing im getting 1.5-2mb/s, which is alot faster, i really need higher read...

Hey,

Is there a way i can use the raspberry pi to stream my PVR computer to my upstairs tv using the pi?

I would like to be able to stream and control the downstairs computer using a generic remote.

Would it be good enough quality to watch live freeview on remote desktop? And would i have sound ??
