Re: Daphne - RetroPi (Pi3) - NO emulator showing

You can try to fix what's preventing Hypseus to work, if you want to invest time on this:

https://github.com/btolab/hypseus/issues/1

But I don't know/care about emulationstation or whatever that is you are using, only Raspbian (an Lakka, but there's no daphne on libretro so...)

Re: Daphne - RetroPi (Pi3) - NO emulator showing

There is a properly ported Daphne version running on SDL2 with no absurd dependencies here:

https://github.com/btolab/hypseus

It builds and runs fine on the Pi... except it does not show video. A small code fix is needed, but I don't have the time. Maybe someone can take a look?

- remove "#define SOUND_USE_SEMAPHORES" Did you check that it's not only this modification that remove the graphical glich appearing each couple of seconds ? From my debugging, the core was generating more samples than what is expected. So the issue was more on emulation core side. Having more samp...

Hi everybody, I love how you all help to make this a better emulator. The option to change the F12 to something else is fantastic for Amiga keyboard users. Do you know if there will be a floppysound and shaders/masks option like in Winuae? I really like those scanline-masks and crt shader from Winu...

About BBC Mirco emulation, just install RISC OS, setup a 50Hz videomode in config.txt, and use this: http://homepages.paradise.net.nz/mjfoot/bbc.htm Good luck telling from a real BBC Micro machine... Hi, Has anybody succeeded in making this half-baked port (no joystick support...) of an AWESOME game with a joystick using joy2key? So far my joy2key lauch script for Maldita Castilla looks like this (for terminal mode): joy2key -dev /dev/input/js0 -terminal -buttons z x -thresh -16383 16383 -16383 ...

Re: Possible to use OpenGL (not GLES) with a dispmanx contex

Investigating a bit on the subject, I have found that it should be possibe to do eglBindAPI(EGL_OPENGL_API); instead of eglBindAPI(EGL_OPENGL_ES_API); on a dispmanx context. However, trying to install the MESA stuff yields a lot of (undesired) X11 dependencies. What's the minimum set of packages nee...

Possible to use OpenGL (not GLES) with a dispmanx context?

Hi, So I have been using GLES on a Dispmanx EGL context for years now, with very good results. Until now, I have been using the default Raspbian GLES libraries, which I believe are closed binaries. However, with the advent of these OpenGL drivers, which are integrated in MESA I believe, it should be...

Re: DOSBOX with GLES2 + tv shader + dynamic recompiler

Hello, I am not using anything based on SDL1 anymore, so my advice is to patch DOSBOX to SDL2 using this: http://www.vogons.org/viewtopic.php?t=34770 And rebuild it. No tv-like shaders. I can upload ready-to-use patched sources if you want them too. I don't have time or motivation to improve dosbox ...

Re: How can I use the fceumm Libretro/Retroarch core in retr

That TFT display doesn't support dispmanx-driven EGL/GLES rendering contexts, so there's no way you will get a good performance with it. Lakka uses dispmanx/GLES so it won't work with it. I consider that TFT display a scam. As for emulationstation/retropie, I can't help you as I don't know about it ...

Re: How can I use the fceumm Libretro/Retroarch core in retr

I don't know about RetroPie, but in normal Raspbian you clone the git repository: git clone --depth 1 https://github.com/libretro/libretro-fceumm.git Then you cd into the directory where it has been cloned: cd libretro-fceumm And then you build the core with the Raspberry Pi 1 platform definitions w...

Re: Cave Story

You don't need RetroPie to play CaveStory.
You can run it on normal Raspbian using the RetroArch NXEngine core.

Also, you can use Lakka insted of RetroPie, which is a solution that comes from the original porters/fixers of the NXEngine:

Re: Games are sometimes laggy and audio is distorted retro p

The Raspberry Pi B+ CPU won't cope with the Genesis Plus GX libretro core, which your distro must be using. Genesis Plus GX is a 100% accurate Sega Mega Drive and Master System emulator, so it takes a certain amount of CPU power to work. You can use the arm-optimized PicoDrive core, but it's far les...
