Is the FBIO_WAITFORVSYNC ioctl implemented in Rpi's fb?

Hello there, I'm trying to improve the situation regarding tearing on every SDL app I try in the Raspberry Pi framebuffer (no X for me, thanks), so I've been looking in the SDL 1.2.x fbcon backend, and I've found out that the culprit is this function's implementation in SDL_fbvideo.c: static void FB...

Re: Dosbox. What have you got running.

I'm wondering the same... Why does the DosBOX version in the apt repository have dynarec disabled? This would be VERY important in the Raspberry Pi.
We could get games and programs to run at a VERY decent speed with this feature enabled!

Re: RISC OS on Raspberry Pi

I know AcornMode, as I'm a lifetime member of the Pandaland scheme, wich I regret because I didn't get a single thing justifying the price. AcornMode contains a standard version of ArcEm in wich EVERY game scroll works VERY wrong. Just look at Cannon Fodder mission presentations, or the ingame scrol...

Re: RISC OS on Raspberry Pi

Hi guys, Is it possible to run old Acorn Archimedes games/demos on the Raspberry Pi by now? I know there's ArcEm, an Acorn Archimedes emulator wich is SLOW and has a lot of tearing in games since it doesn't respect vsync at all, making smooth-scrollin games/demos very ugly compared to the real syste...

Re: Raspberry Pi OS

It boots succesfully from my 2GB Kingston micro-SD card with SD adapter. Now that's what I call an OS boot: fast and clean, Amiga-like. But my keyboard doesn't work: it acceps first key push (be it left, right, enter...) but then it won't budge anymore. I can see the option move from "load program" ...

Re: Omx player

You must specify the files you want to play. omxplayer needs to know what to play :) You can also write "man omxplayer" and look for the right parameters if you need any. The point is that maybe you must find out where the files are stored, so you should start by mounting the physical device contani...

Re: Is Bare Metal code for me?

So, if I understood correctly (I'm not a native english-speaker and have some advanced comprehension problems), DexOS is lacking the CLI and the graphical interface on the Pi... I for one believe it would be VERY interesting to have it working as a full OS on the Pi: a lowlevel DOS-style OS makes ev...

Re: Is Bare Metal code for me?

Hi there, I'm new to these forums, but after seeing some videos of DexOS running on the EBox, I couldn't help myself but posting. I love the DOS-esque looking of DexOS! Direct hardware access without slow hardware abstraction layers, light and fast boot like in the good old Amiga & DOS days... Howev...
