Re: Uae4arm: Amiga emulator with JIT and DispmanX

@chips: what should I notice in audio exactly? I have very sensitive ears and it seems the same audio to me. And in fact it sounds pretty well compared to real Amiga gear, which I am used to.
No crackling, no drops, nothing wrong really. Then again I am using a physical 50Hz video mode via tvservice.

Re: Uae4arm: Amiga emulator with JIT and DispmanX

Audio use semaphore and has to be well synchronized with core emulation. TomB change some timings in audio in latest version. I feel like it improve audio (i think emulation was faster than audio output), now audio is better but it look like core is faster than audio output so now in every few seco...

Re: Stella Atari Emulator in Jessie

Still haven't managed to get Stella working in Jessie like it did in Wheezy. Any more ideas anyone? Stop using standalone emulators and use their libretro ports instead. For Stella: https://github.com/libretro/stella-libretro.git You will get fullscreen emulation with perfectly synced audio and vid...

Re: Uae4arm: Amiga emulator with JIT and DispmanX

Hi Chips, I was using 0.3 until today that I just built 1.0 from your github sources. There's a problem here, both on Raspberry Pi and Raspberry Pi2: graphics are not as well synced as they were in 0.3. You can simply run 0.3 and let the Lemmings scrolling credits roll: watch carefully and you will ...

I have changed the configure script and now libSDL should be detected right in cross-building systems where it was previously failing, please test.

Re: Cross compiling a simple program that uses an installed

The sysroot parameter works right. That's not the problem of all this mess. The root cause of all this is since Wheezy (on which Raspbian is/was based), Debian adds "multiarch". That means that LD scripts, headers and actual libs can be in the sysroot for different achitectures at the same time. Old...

Re: Cross compiling a simple program that uses an installed

I managed to cross-compile by editing /opt/rpi_root/usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/libc.so and setting the paths to relative ones, leaving it like this: /* GNU ld script Use the shared library, but some functions are only in the static library, so try that secondarily. */ OUTPUT_FORMAT(elf32-littlearm)...

Cross compiling a simple program that uses an installed lib

Hi there, I'm having seemingly unsolvable problems while trying to cross compile a simple Rpi program on my X86 box. It was working before but I've since rebuilt my system and now I can't make it work anymore. I am using a cross-compiler I built using crosstool-ng. It lives on ~/x-tools/arm-rpi-linu...

Re: Uae4arm: Amiga emulator with JIT and DispmanX

It's uae4arm: I built my own executable from the 0.3 sources in your github account without NEON optimizations for Pi1. So, if you use this Makefile with the 0.3 sources, you should get a version that works perfect on a Pi1: http://paste.ubuntu.com/12530076 I made some minor tweaks (remove NEON, add...

Has it became SO slow since 0.3???

Re: The best PSX One emulator

For Raspberry Pi, it's the PCSX-ReArmed core for libretro using RetroArch.
In general, it's the beetle-psx core for libretro using RetroArch, but it's way above Raspberry Pi 2 processing power.
Go libretro/RetroArch on GLES/Dispmanx, no Xorg involved, and have fun. It doesn't get any better than that.

Re: ZDoom - Poor Performance (Pi 2)

I have done a ready-to-use version of Chocolate Doom with accelerated 2D graphics using the Rpi native 2D API (Dispmanx). Works great.
It's here:

https://github.com/vanfanel/crispy-doom

ZDOOM performs poorly on the Pi because it does software scaling.

The game's playability suffers from this issue. Also: -The music in Prince Of Persia intro is still broken -Keen1 seems to suffer the same sc...

Re: I need help running Nestopia on Raspbian

Use RetroArch + whatever core you need. Don't use standalone emulators on the Pi, they generally suck except for Mame4all, PiFBA and Atari800. For all the other systems, it's RetroArch ONLY. There is a Nestopia core for libretro/RetroArch. There's also an FCE core. Use that. Avoid any other solution...

DOSBOX with GLES2 + tv shader + dynamic recompiler

Hi there! I've made a patch that enables GLES2 with a nice scanlines effect working in any resolution, and dynamic recompiler, for Raspberry Pi 1 and 2. This is, no doubt, the best version of DOSBOX running on the Pi (taking into acount that DOSBOX is a VERY demanding emulator CPU-wise). For now, un...
