Re: [Pi 4B] 4k 60Hz HDMI suddenly stops, black screen, red LED going off

Perhaps you need to look for a common in two cases. I see you are using a gaming mouse and an interesting memory card with controller DDR50 – DDR up to 50 MHz ,. Do you have toshiba exceria? How well does it work (it's a personal interest, I also think to buy this card from Japan)? It also seems to ...

Re: No USB audio input from dongle on Pi4

You may need to manually download the modules for your card. Unfortunately, I also encountered this problem - Buster does not work well with my sound card and freezes. I rolled back to the Volumio OS. What sound cards do you use?

Re: Pi 4b not booting

Why is it unlikely that just two computers do not work as soon as they are received? In our country, there is such a thing as “manufacturing defect”. This means that the negligent manager ordered a batch of devices from some factory known for low-quality details and a low work culture. As a result, ...

However, there are two mandatory requirements for a ...

Personally, the sound card from Native Instruments started to work badly on my Buster https://www.native-instruments.com/en/ I wrote about this at the very beginning of the message. These manufacturers have always advertised Linux support. Also on Volumio (like on my home computer) this sound card w...

Re: Pi4 solid red and green led

As far as I know, Raspberry 4 uses MaxLinear's MxL7704, this is a more advanced version of PMIC than the previous one. It would be interesting if the owners of the dead microcomputers could give Raspberry for repair (for example, in the service center where they repair cell phones or laptops) and as...

Re: RPi 4 4GB CPU spikes and 'freezes' for a up to 5 seconds.

I’m just not struggling to increase productivity, but trying to reduce productivity. I have several microcomputers and some of them I use in headless mode to solve specific, non-resource-intensive tasks. Teensy controllers are also connected to them. For Raspberries 3 there are many ways to reduce p...

Re: wlan0 does not start when ethernet cable is disconnected

As far as I understand the author of the topic, there is no wpa encryption, therefore, you can not use the wpa_supplicant.conf file (which is needed if encryption is used) Therefore, it is more like routing errors or something like that, when a computer cannot receive network data via wlan, but rece...

Re: wlan0 does not start when ethernet cable is disconnected

If I understand you correctly, then this is not a Raspberry problem, but a Debian problem. As far as I know, it is connected with the work of the graphical manager, namely the wi-fi connection and disconnection icon on the desktop. In fact, wi-fi works, but the connection is not displayed. You can v...

Re: RPi 4 4GB CPU spikes and 'freezes' for a up to 5 seconds.

Raspberries of the fourth version are more sensitive to memory cards than raspberries of the third version. If after you changed the memory card, crashes began to occur, then it makes sense to put another memory card. Or go back to the old memory card, which before that worked fine for you. It seems...

It seems to me, if you exclude the physical breakdown of Raspberries of the fourth and second versions, then you start to think about incorrect memory cards. In fact, if two different Raspberries refuse to work, then either you are doing something wrong (but I'm sure that you are an experienced Linu...

Try to put another operating system. Linux is not only Debian. Re: Is Raspberry Pi 3 B+ better than Raspberry Pi 4 B for USB DACs?

In Linux it is very easy to adjust the volume control. The easiest way is to abandon the "standard" (default) volume control and install a third-party program. Raspbian is a sub-version of Debian, so you can use all of Debian's software wealth to work. I am using Pnmixer https://github.com/nicklan/p...

Re: What is the best way to add IR transmitter/receiver to raspberry pi 3 B+?

I use the Teensy 3.6 microcontroller in order to connect the infrared sensor via usb. Teensy has many inputs for working with various protocols (SPI / I2C & etc) and allows you to write, for example, a small and efficient keyboard and mouse emulator program via USB This is very convenient, since the...

Re: Volumio & Raspbian & jackd2. Hi-fi sound over the network =)

There are several reasons for this solution (two minicomputers instead of one). First and foremost, Buster doesn’t work well at the kernel level with some professional sound cards. This is just a fact. You can refuse Buster and install another operating system, but personally it is inconvenient for ...

I tried to solve the problem with my Native Instruments DJ card  and I regret to say that Buster does not work very well with sound. Up to freezing software. These are kernel issues. If you did everything possible to restore your computer, then it most likely makes sense to return the faulty device to the seller (if the warranty allows) or buy a new one. Re: Unable to boot and unable to flash EEPROM

Judging by the "symptoms", you have a working raspberry, but you are a little excited and trying to act randomly. Why change the EEPROM if you are not sure that a serious error has occurred? Personally, I rarely saw EEPROM fail on any device, but almost all Raspberry owners, if there is a problem wi...
