Re: UAV

<t>Recovery scheme. I think you would need a tracking system in the UAV for collection should it go down (would have to be water proof and whole vehicle would need to float even on rough seas). Assuming it did get washed up or ended up coming down over land you could use crowd sourcing for recovery,...

<r>a few questions. What about power lines could this not be an issue? Also how would you stop your self blowing of course even at 400' the winds on a bad day would be awful? How fast could the UAV go at top speed and how would it handle when navigating left or right?<br/> <br/> I think you may find...

Re: How to get a Raspberry Pi in China?

I suppose you could get a friend or relative to receive one for you from another country and then they could post it to you as a gift. That could work and could avoid a CCC certificate, though I am not sure if it would work or not. Though they would have to put a declaration on the parcel.

<t>Its time to lead the youngsters outside away from the Wii, out to the garage. Start by disassembling the Wii. If they want to play it let them put it back together. Actually I have never disassembled a Wii before. Hey honey are you going to play the Wii tonight?<br/> <br/> It's projects like that...

Does anyone want 1300135?

If you don't get it then type it into a hand held calculator, childish I know but the old ones are still good.

bagsy's numbers 007, 666, 1337

Why number 1337?

Also I would have the number 42 Raspberry Pi because then I could say I have the meaning of life in my pocket or in my possession (or at least the anwser to the meaning of life).

Re: How many would you make?

<t>And not to be pessimistic, MDC, but there is always the chance (hopefully small) that if you buy too many, some of them will never sell. There is no end of good ideas that almost made it to being mainstream, but died just as they entered the market. Although, as a charity, I suppose R-Pi has the ...

Re: How many would you make?

Oversupply is, I believe, a bigger threat than unmet demand for a relatively new startup NPO.

I don't see the issue you are still going to sell them even if you do over order, plus too much is better than not enough, it's all about supply and demand

I don't know why people have such a negative opinion about people being on computers and being over weight.

I wasn't thinking really about companies. I was more thinking about enthusiasts like in the link on my original post (college/university students) or like in the film The Astronaut Farmer (except not manned or that advanced).

Go forward

You meet a giant talking raspberry with sharp teeth.
