Re: No programming skills

I have no programming skills, but would like to learn, hence why I am interested in this device. Could anyone give me a starting point to learn or lead me in the right direction or maybe offer some hints and tips.

Re: Question: Super Rasberry pi

<t> I'm guessing that all the people both mailing us and asking here for free devices haven't quite twigged about the charity thing yet, though!<br/> <br/> Maybe you should do something about that as you are going to have to put up with it for the next 3-4 months and it is only going to get worse th...

Re: Raspberry Pi as a company

I think there was slight confusion at my last post. I meant, what were your personal motives at going down the charity route. But I think you anwsered the question anyway.

Re: Raspberry Pi as a company

<t>Sorry to bother you again, but why didn't you go down the commercial route. As for what I have read so far it would seem like a good idea and maybe a money maker in the right hands.<br/> <br/> As long as you kept your morals about you and didn't sell out, I don't see why you can't achieve your go...

Re: Question: Super Rasberry pi

Thats all I wanted to know, as it would have helped a college or school if there was a bulk buy saving, especially if they were buying a schools worth.

P.S I did know you were a charity

<t>If one of the big boys in computing wanted to compete what is to stop them? Do you have any protection, regarding patents ect. Because as a concept it sounds pretty good.<br/> <br/> I do realise Raspberry Pi is a charity, but I don't think that would stop some people out there competing<br/> <br/...

Re: Question: Super Rasberry pi

Question to the people who are making and selling the pi. If you bulk buy does that do anything to the price and what about postage is that included?

Just thought I would ask

Re: Raspberry pi, computer science tool for the masses?

<t>Could this tool be used to boost computer science knowledge around the world, or are people just content being users (drivers) of computers.<br/> <br/> Either way this device seems to do both, it offers a cheap computer to use, while also giving them the chance to learn more about the inner worki...

Re: How would you use a Raspberry Pi device?

I have been thinking what I would do for hours. I think I would see about making a fully working laptop the size of a mid to large mobile phone. No idea how I would do it though.
