Re: Internet based operating system

I said LIKE chome O/S in the way it operates out of cloud technology. Obviously all the technical details would need to be sorted out, but it was just a thought. It may not comply with R-Pi's remit on face value, but it could be made to be that way.

Re: Internet based operating system

<r>In the future do you think it would be possible to operate a R-Pi on an internet based o/s like google. I think it would save a bit of memory and make it run quicker. Obviously it would be for future project and not the immediate future. I'm not a fan of the internet based o/s but I am not totall...

Re: Cases for the Raspberry Pi

I think the ultimate cannibal is ukscone, he wanted to submerge a RasPi in fryer oil.

Why not go all Jimi Hendrix and set fire to your R-Pi and start programming on it at ultra high speed.

Re: cannibalism

<r>Has anyone thought of of using cannibalised parts from other machines and using them with the Raspberry Pi like a Nintendo wii remote, an Xbox 360 Kinect Sensor Camera ect. I have seen people do these things on tv and was thinking about a remote control Pi. It is also cheaper than buying consumer...

Re: Come and play with an alpha board - UK conference

WOW that is expensive. You would need to steal alot of miniature sewing kits and towels to make that up or drink a hell of alot of tea and coffee. It doesn't tell you what the difference between the academic and general registration types are.

obviously there would be one with just the logo in the centre of the t-shirt or on the pocket of a shirt. But that would have to be chosen first

Could this device be used for malicious purposes for like for a bot net, by hackers or for many types of computer fraud?

I know anything can be malicous if put into the wrong hands but from a technical point of view it is kind of interesting.
