Thats right. I bought a Zero at PiHut on wednesday for 9.5 € (shipping + tax included) and it is on the way to me in Germany.
Since you are in the EU I see no reason why you cannot buy from PiHut, Pimoroni etc and get it delivered fairly quickly.
did not work either.With R42/43 connected onto the Display I2c pins, try enabling the camera in raspi-config. This might get the GPU to use I2c Bus 1, and talk to the Display, or,
Tryed it.I solderd 2 wires from the display-connector to R42/43 - it works fine.
It is a RPI B Rev 2.
Tomorrow i will try solder wires to RPI B Ver. 1
to answer myself: No, wont work (yet?).must i connect SDA/SCL to Pin 3 and 5 on the RPI GPIO-header?
