Re: Beta test USB over IP for Raspberry Pi

1. Sounds like a bug, I will take a look at why the server is losing the nicknames settings.... 2. Sounds like you somehow are are missing the cat file. That contains the signatures of the drivers and must be in the same directory as the drivers during installation. I thought you were just doing to...

Re: Beta test USB over IP for Raspberry Pi

Yes unattended installation of the drivers is available. The drivers install using the standard microsoft driver installer. There are multiple options when installing the driver unattended /Q quiet mode /T:<full path> - specify temp working folder /C extract only (use with /T) /C: <cmd> override in...

Re: Beta test USB over IP for Raspberry Pi

Thanks a lot. Today I started a test in my company with one usb dongle. At first, two co-workers will try to do their daily work by sharing one dongle. In about one or two weeks we will see, if that is a reliant solution. One more thing: Is it possible to do an unattended installation of the drivers...

Re: Latest Iceweasel

You are right, but in this case you have to test manually by downloading the corresponding files. And as you can see, we only have one confirmation. So either we create a small introduction or we wait another two month for someone having the muse figuring out by himself.

Maybe you should post a little "howto", because I still needed some time figuring out the installation order of the different *.deb files. The big number of files on your web space may scare some potential testers.

Maybe you find some help in the TVHeadend IRC channels? This looks like some kind of problem in TVH, not at RPi side.

For live TV in the web interface you need something like the VLC plugin for your current browser. Everything works fine then.

Re: Beta test USB over IP for Raspberry Pi

One more thing (sorry for double post): I have several identical HASP USB devices (dongles for CAM software) which all appear with the same name in the list. The problem is: They have different features "inside". I always have to "try and error" before finding the right one. Is it possible to "name"...

Re: more than 1 physical interface

You could buy a Netgear GS105E (which is a VLAN switch and not more than 60$) and create multiple "physical" interfaces in the pi.

apt-get intall vlan
modprobe 8021q

Hi there,

two more things that would lead me to a purchase:

- select devices/usb ports to share instead of blacklistig all the others

Thank you.

Re: Display image during booting (aka splash screen)

As already said, it's a dirty hack and no real splash screen. You still should get a terminal if you press ctrl+c and/or strg+alt+F1/2/3 etc... The copy and paste from the website indeed could cause wrong line endings, so you should use some editor with unix line ending functionality (e.g. Notepad++...
