The RPi400 motherboard should be sold separately

It would be very nice if the Pi400 bare PCB was available for sale separately. This size and shape would make it ideal for many new projects. It's slim but has all the ports, making it perfect for DIY Pi laptops, tablets, maybe even clusters . (if the CM4 isn't your style) paulhothersall agrees. ple...

Does anyone know how to report a bug like this to the Raspberry Pi folks?
It looks like you can open an issue here: https://github.com/RPi-Distro/chromium- ... issues/new

Re: Chromium v84 no audio via ALSA/Jack setup

While I do not have a solution to fixing Chromium v84, I have made a script that easily downgrades chromium back to v78.
Maybe this would prove helpful in some situations. viewtopic.php?f=63&t=290329

Booting ubuntuOS in a chroot - stuck on Network service

Actually I'm not using a chroot, but systemd-nspawn. It's basically the same thing though. Let's say I had an Ubuntu image, and I mounted its root partition to /media/pi/vdesktop. Now, I can 'boot' that image using this command: sudo systemd-nspawn -bD /media/pi/vdesktop The terminal will then displ...

My Dropbox just got blocked due to too many downloads.
I'm not surprised.
You've had a lot of installs thanks to Pi-Apps and ETA PRIME's Youtube video featuring it.
In fact, MC Java is the #1 most installed app in Pi-Apps.

Download files moved from dropbox to github. Setup script 'setupMC.sh' updated with new links. Let me know if this works.
Looks good.
Have you seen my pull request? This fixes CPU architecture detection for OS'es that use a 64bit kernel but are running a 32bit userland.

I have an issue:
I followed the PIAPPS directions above. Chromium Widevine didn't for me so I did removed it.. Now i'm using only Chromium Media edition, however, only Disney Plus is working. Any suggestions?
My guess would be that you haven't upgraded to Chromium v84 yet.

Re: eDEX-UI sci-fi hacker terminal running on Pi4

Damn, that's a problem for a terminal that I would actually want to use to get things done. I really like the idea of an integrated on screen keyboard. I was annoyed about the 1 minute launch time, but then I realized that you can launch eDEX-UI in windowed mode, not fullscreen. Now the 1 minute lo...

Re: Installing Discord On Raspberry Pi

Well since this thread was necro'd, I might as well help any future viewers out. The Pi-Apps Raspberry Pi app store has Discord in it. And unlike PiKISS, this Discord is a much newer version, with fixed bugs and more features. Install Pi-Apps with: git clone https://github.com/Botspot/pi-apps ~/pi-a...

Netflix on Chromium v84 working! (Chromium Media Edition)

In case you don't know, chromium-browser v84 has broken the now-familiar Widevine DRM implementation . Being the developer of Pi-Apps , I've done my best to provide solutions. For example, I've made it quick and easy to downgrade back to chromium v78. But for (obvious) reasons, downgrading is not id...

I don't see why not, but I don't do much in terms of forum admin/moderation nowadays. I'll flag it up and see if anybody has any objections.

Do you have a thread for it already?
I don't have a general Pi-Apps thread yet. It won't be long from now though.

Re: Easily revert back to Chromium v78

Isn't that what Chromium Media Edition already does by downloading it from Ventz' server? Or is this another way doesn't doesn't require having somebody other than Google hosting the file? Yeah but, it doesn't work. ;) I suppose you could say I'm creating a ventz-style script that doesn't involve a...

The script I found creates a tarball which I extract to /. You need: /opt/WidevineCdm/_platform_specific/linux_arm/libwidevinecdm.so /opt/WidevineCdm/manifest.json Or, the same thing, but in ~/.local/lib/WidevineCdm/ Oh wow, no wonder people have been having issues. Got it working with ruario's widevine-flash_armhf.sh . Uploading the fixed version now. How could it have worked? The widevine-flash_armhf.sh gist I found copied these two files to my Pi: /opt/google/chrome/PepperFlash /opt/google/chrome/libwidevinecdm.so I didn't expect it to work, and sure enough...

As much as I like Pi-Apps after playing around with it yesterday, minor correction that widevine does work once you put the files in the right place. With never version of chromium it's not enough to just drop .so file somewhere. If you search for widevine-flash_armhf.sh, then you should be set. Ye...

Thanks for the reply. No, your app should run fine without the panel. However, uninstalling the panel may be a bad ...

Wow, this looks very familiar! (I'm the guy who suggested you compile a 64bit build) Both Cura builds can be installed from my Pi-Apps RPi app store . Pi-Apps automatically detects which CPU architecture your OS is using, and installs the correct Cura build. In addition, it creates a button in the s...
