I know about it being command-line, I saw people get desktop on it, and Manjaro is not of my preference.

I tried that before. It froze on the installer, and every single partition became visible through Windows Explorer (therefore with a billion popups about that a drive needs to be formatted)

Which model of Raspberry Pi? Which version of NOOBS? What SD card are you using (capacity, brand, model)? What are you using for a power supply? What kind of monitor or display are you using? Like others, I also recommend you download the latest Raspbian image and write it to your card with the Etc...

Just use standalone Raspbian Stretch with Desktop and create a card using Etcher...

Etcher does not work; it corrupted my SD card. My 64-gig. SD card became only 43 megabytes.
