Re: Compile the Network Manager (1.14.6)

I need to manually change the dBm threshold of AP switching during roaming (the threshold value is hardcoded) see:
https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page= ... Aggressive
So i need to recompile the NetworkManager.

Compile the Network Manager (1.14.6)

Hi, i need to compile and install the Network Manager from official repo https://github.com/NetworkManager/NetworkManager (tag 1.14.6).
Do you know the correct steps to compile and install it on raspberry pi 0 with raspbian buster?

Thank you,
Alessandro

raspistill freezing

Hi,
i'm using this command "raspistill -v -w 1920 -h 1080-g -gs teapot -gw 0,0,1920,1080 -t 0", but after sometime the system is freezd.
I'm using official raspbian Frebruary release on raspberry pi 0-w.
Could you try?

Efficent way to convert from I420 (or RGB24) to Y800

Hi,
is there a way to convert the camera frame from I240(or alternatively RGB24) to Y800 (https://www.fourcc.org/pixel-format/yuv-y800/) using the vc.ril.isp? Or, maybe, using some other mmal components?

Thanks,
Alessandro

About NEXT field in MMAL_BUFFER_HEADER_T

Hi, is "next" filed in struct MMAL_BUFFER_HEADER_T designed to be used by user application or exclusively by mmal framework (e.g, i've seen mmal queue uses that field in its methods)? For example: when the decoder output callback is triggered makes sense process also the buffer in the next field? Th...

Re: video_decode: OMX_IndexConfigBufferStall parameter

I found it here: https://github.com/raspberrypi/firmware ... ecode.html
Also could be useful OMX_IndexParamBrcmSetCodecPerformanceMonitoring to be available in mmal.
Thanks, for your work!

video_decode: OMX_IndexConfigBufferStall parameter

Is OMX_IndexConfigBufferStall parameter available in mmal? I need to access it, but my video_decode is created and handled using mmal.

I think you are right, i'm supposing the decoder must respect the framerate....but maybe it is a wrong assumption.

Re: mmal decoder output callback issue (jitter)

Yes, it signals me tMMAL_BUFFER_HEADER_FLAG_FRAME_END for every frame.
I don't think that buffers are combined or split, because the rendering of the frame is correct, there is no sign of distortion...every frame seems a "complete frame" (well-decoded). It's only a time issue.

mmal decoder output callback issue (jitter)

Hi, i'm using the mmal decoder to decoding an H264 video streaming (10fps, res:640x480, profile main) from an ios device. I have the following issues: the framerate is 10fps, but the decoder output callback has some kind of "jitter", i.e. it is not called every 100 ms as i'm expecting but it works w...

Restart the mmal h264 decoder

Hi, Is there a way to restart (or re-initialize) the internal state of an active h264 mmal decoder? Sometime (not often) after a while the output frames seem corrupted (i.e., there are compression artifacts) but the decoder does not rise any kind of error (i check the buffer header "cmd" and "flags"...

Re: OMX_IndexConfigPowerDown equivalent in MMAL

I have a battery sensitive camera streaming app, It is a constrain to maximize the energy-saving when the steraming is not required. The actual policy is to put the camera in "standby mode" using MMAL_PARAMETER_CAPTURE. I'm searching further methods to save power, this is why i'm asking about OMX_In...

Re: low light areas are too dark in h264 video

Thanks for your answer. Specifically the actual problem is the following: The camera component (1280x960@10 fps) si attached to a splitter: -the first output of the splitter renders to a video . -the second output encodes in h264 (profile main, 1Mbit of bitrate) and streams. Therefore starting camer...

low light areas are too dark in h264 video

Hi i'm performing an h264 video streaming with resolution 1280x960 at 10 fps. The encoder is set to profile main and bitrate set to 1Mbit. The issue is the following: the low light areas are too dark (the encoder "recognizes" them as black). If i run "raspivid -t 0" (preview mode with same resolutio...

Re: Timer interrupt per second limit

All my threads fail. As said the timer does not trigger inttetrupt, then everything is actually sleeping will sleep forever, also every command that use a sleep function will wait forever (command like top or a simple ping).

I have a set of periodic threads, which workload varies. My problem is that after a while the timer does not trigger interrupt (i check using cat /proc/interrupt). Has anything like this ever happened to you?
