Are you using 5 or 4 wire stepper motors. If it is 5 or 6 wire you can use a darlington array. There is a very cheap little IC called ULN2003A that is more than capable of shifting enough current to drive a stepper motor. or relay or any other high current device from the Pi

From my understanding and looking at plenty of pictures of the device I believe that it is an A type HDMI. also due to the fact of the foundations ideal of compatibility with existing hardware.

Sorry if this has already been answered. I've downloaded the debian image for the pi and used dd to copy it to an sd card, but none of the seperate partitions seen to be visible in linux or windows is this normal or should I start from scratch again

I"m not to shure if this is mentioned eairlier but i have cnxsoftwares kernel compiled for arm1172 working on qemu on windows with the 1132 cpu setting with no complaints

I would have thought on a site like that you could power them with a bank of earth batteries for interactive kiosks the only downside is you would have difficultly pullins enough juice to run the displays. but none the less a great idea.
