Re: What? no Android support?

As for actual Android running on the Pi, I remain entirely unconvinced there is much computer educational benefit to this. Certainly nowhere near enough to make it worthwhile having an official port, with the huge associated costs. Any open source development can be very educational. :) While I agr...

Re: Smart table with RPi

My LineageOS 15.1 build uses Google's SwiftShader software renderer so graphics performance is not that great. Bluetooth sort of works on the 3 B but that's the only difference to 3 B+. Graphics performance is better on LineageOS 14.1 but it also has its own set of issues. It doesn't support 3 B+ be...

Re: How to install Android Marshmallow 6.0 on Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+

You may need 6.0.1 build 160917 and it may not run on the B+ Have a look at xxxxx - it’s a straight download, write SD card and boot. Most definitely don't purchace that! If you've purchased that, ask for a refund. RaspAnd and Arne Exton does nothing but leeches off of hard work of free and open so...

I've been told this boots on Pi 2 (I assume people are talking about the BCM2837 one but I'm not exactly sure because I don't have any Pi 2). There's no wifi/bluetooth obviously and there's no support for external wifi/bt dongles either.

Hi, very cool work ! Had you used an original Android Kernel 4.14, or an original Vanilla Kernel 4.14, or current Raspberry Pi modified Kernel 4.14 ? Did you have to write HAL/HIDL layers for having Android to work ? According to all the things written in there : https://source.android.com/devices/...

I've instead failed on the 'basic skills' - Not being familiar with Android on a Pi; how do I invoke a safe shut down or power off ? Update: Seems I actually failed basic reading skills there; press F5 as w...
