Re: battery

true and price is forever the curse so lets see. I am probably going to use a zero or zero w maybe 3a+ and a engine controller issue is I would have to step down 6volt to 5v because the engines are 6v so maybe I should use 2 batterys one for the pi one for the engines?

Re: robot controller

it seems to output a minimum of 6.5 or 7 volts (I am not to great with data sheets yet) so would that kill it? it is a 90 buck set and that is a little much to frie because I don't know what I am doing.

Re: battery

thx!
I just don't like the idea of having to take out a battery every time it dies. I also want to explore smart home capability's and taking out the battery for auto-charge sounds difficult.

Re: Are there any benefits from the Raspberry Pi using ARM?

Rofl, what a complicated installation process - why isn't it just 1 step like on linux? I know I know :? While the difference on how software installs are handled is a good point, that is a consequence of using Linux, and is actually independent of the choice of an ARM processor as opposed to an x8...

I think someone needs to have a little chat with Premier Farnell as this https://www.newark.com/raspberry-pi/rpi ... p/80AC9303 page shows the Pi3A+ with a price of $47.30. Since it's a US site, that's without taxes.
and amazon has the 3b+ for 40-45 bucks!
