Re: VPN options - Any with no monthly charge?

I'm stuck on step 5 as I don't have a program that opens a .ovpn file that displays it in the same way that the instructions show. Notepad++ opens it but it's not the same. Any ideas? Im really not familliar with OpenELEC. Are you shure you really cant access a raspbian type terminal? I can confirm...

Re: Need a case, heatsinks and fan. Also "is this a bad case?"

What kind of fan generates so much noise? If it's that noisy, you may benefit from rubber grommets between the fan and the mounting point and possibly a drop of sowing machine oil on the bearings. None of my fans sound like a jet, I can barely hear the little 40mm things I use. If you want, I can p...

The best library for a 3D game?

Hello there. I just finished a series of tutorials on how to program in C++! I learned a ton of things. For example, I know how to make a calculator. Thats so exciting! I learned all of this with one goal in mind: id like to make a Minecraft clone. Cool, right? But theres one big problem: Everytime ...

Re: Need a case, heatsinks and fan. Also "is this a bad case?"

My second recommendation would be the Kintaro heatsink in an open sided (or very well ventilated) case. An example of an open sided case would be something like this . With a Kintaro heatsink and a case like that, you probably wouldn't even need to use the fan. DONT. Its noisy as hell... Even when ...

Re: What if Minecraft Pi Edition was Updated?

Last time I installed raspbian Stretch from a new download, I didn't even see minecraft in the menu. Not sure if it was just me, but it looks like they've stopped supplying it with new distros (probably happened when They removed all the 'unwanted' programs and such) The "full" distro that contains...

Update: All good with Quake 3! Your commands didnt worked. still, in the controls menu, Quake understood my controller! Sadly, its really not usable. Re: PS3 controller on Raspbian?

8 days! But I can understand if it felt like three weeks. For button to keyboard mappings, we recommended QJoyPad and joy2key in another thread . That's assuming sixpair got your controller mapped to to a device under /dev/input. Looks like ioq3 already has plenty of code for supporting analog joys...

PS3 controller on Raspbian?

Hello there. A while ago, I managed to pair with the sixpair software my official PS3 controller. I can now play PS1 games on my Raspberry Pi! Sadly, I cannot play Quake 3 with it- and thats why im here. How can I map mouse movements to the sixaxis joystick? Can I map the joystick to the keys? What ...

Re: [Apache] Clean links?

To clean up a bit, I used the following: RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME}\.mp4 -f RewriteRule ^(.*)$ $1.mp4 It removes the .mp4 extension from my files. Apache still redirected me to "my_video.mp4" in the autoindex when clicking on links, witch giv...

[Apache] Clean links?

Hello. I am making a NAS on my little Pi. :) Here is my problem: I want to stream video files on there, but the links generated (path to videos) are quite messy. Here is an example video file: https://i.postimg.cc/j2BrsK0f/snap2426.png As you can see, it contains spaces. But the link generated looks...

Thanks. I have looked at freedns before, but the many subdomains they have are either long, or too short to be memorable.
