Re: current date + time feat. also milliseconds?

Thats quite tricky. You can get the time in ms with:- struct timespec now; clock_gettime( CLOCK_REALTIME, &now ); return (uint64_t)now.tv_sec * 1000U + (uint64_t)now.tv_nsec / 1000000U; hello again! Now I try to understand the clock_gettime function: using your code snippet above, I get just things...

it works, thanks again! #include <time.h> #include <stdio.h> void getdatetime(int &year, int &mon, int &day, int &hour, int &min, int &sec, int &msec, int &dow) { struct timespec now; clock_gettime( CLOCK_REALTIME, &now ); const struct tm *tms = localtime( &now.tv_sec ); year = tms->tm_year+1900; mo...

Re: current date + time feat. also milliseconds?

edit: is sec= overall sec or sec of minute? Why does it matter? overall= all elapsed seconds since 1900 or since beginning of day sec of minute= sec fraction of elapsed minutes -------------------- so this way? void getdatetime(int &year, int &mon, int &day, int &hour, int &min, int &sec, int &dow) ...

Re: current date + time feat. also milliseconds?

thanks, but I'm afraid I do not understand... I always see just tv_sec and tv_nsec, but where is the rest? int &year, int &mon, int &day, int &hour, int &min, // int &sec, ==tv_sec ?? // int &msec, ==tv_nsec / 1000000 int &dow is sec= overall sec or sec of minute? void getdatetime(int &year, int &mo...

Re: current date + time feat. also milliseconds?

thank you, but would you please show me how to poll that in a similar function like

current date + time feat. also milliseconds?

hello, can I retrieve the current date + time feat. also milliseconds? Unfortunately using this function I can only retrieve down to sec: #include <stdio.h> #include <time.h> #include <stdlib.h> void getdatetime(int &year, int &mon, int &day, int &hour, int &min, int &sec, int &dow) { time_t t = tim...

Re: C++ IDE

thanks for your suggestion, but I have no idea about webpages, webservers, html and all that. The webserver concept doesn't look suitable for my purposes and my skills, so I'll surely stay wih C/C++, and my goal is to do show up everything in a C++ GUI interface. gtkiostream is too unflexible (and a...

Re: C++ IDE

tbh, I don't want to learn different programming languages. Just a convenient and simple GUI IDE for C++ on the Pi, similar to my Borland C++ Builder I'm using (now more frequently) on my Windows notebook ;)

Re: C++ IDE

Unfortunately I don't know Javascript, node.js, HTML or CSS at all (also no Python), I am just using C(++) for programming. But I am not stuck to the Windows/Borland world, instead for the Pi simply the beginner-friendly and handsome C(++) GUI programming tools are missing (and GUI programs should a...

Re: C++ IDE

No way to use qtcreator without a good German tutorial - I do not even know where to start and/or to proceed (even if it worked faster). As I use Linux just on my Pi, there is no other way for developing. For C++ Builder on my PC instead I meanwhile even managed to remote-control an Arduino by butto...

Re: C++ IDE

just resurrected my Borland C++ Builder 5: Just dragging 2 buttons to the form, label them ("click me" , "quit"), and choosing "onClick" for either button from the event context menu, and after that everything is created automatically - one simply had to add ShowMessage ("Hello World!"); // insert t...

Re: C++ IDE

yes, actually also my former Borland Turbo Pascal (with objects) didn't work on Windows, just DOS. But now I am using always the GUI desktop (Pixel, XWindows) feat. multiple resizeable windows, so an XWindows design application by d+d is required. I'm curious if one might port the Borland C++ Builde...

Re: C++ IDE

thanks for your condolence! ;) I'm afraid web forms are no option at all, that is unexplored terrain to me (just using some c+p code for the esp8266 webserver), and additionally I needed my programs locally also when no wifi is available. OTOH, using just the standard console and key strokes is too ...

Re: C++ IDE

update: after having looked during the last 2 days through sources and made some programming attempts, I think I have to resign about the qtcreator. The qtcreator is really a monster which is probably not suitable to work with directly on the Pi: 1st, it's insanely slow until a window opens , and 2n...

Re: C++ IDE

ok - if that's so then I certainly I have to stand corrected. (by "proprietary" I meant, e.g. for buttons: an event issued once either by button-up or optionally by button-double-click and so on, each button by it's own events) Visual Studio for Windows I don't know, but perhaps that was similar to ...

Re: C++ IDE

actually my question was about a RaspberryPi GUI IDE for d+d GUI interface windows design with automatic code generation (!) for all the windows elements/widgets (such as Borland C++ Builder for Windows). I actually doubt that code::blocks provides that.

hello, I found that requests about user-friendly C++ GUI programming tools have been posted earlier in this forum, such as Borland C++ Builder for Windows - are there some updates meanwhile? http://www.interface.ru/iarticle/img/4211_1.gif When starting a new project, a form is provided where to drag...
