yes - surprise! - it's there! :o
Now I see and will try to understand more of the details when tinkering with your code and expanding it.

Thank you very very much, you really helped me a lot! 8-)

Re: qtcreator (qt5, qtdesigner): how to access GPIOs (r/w pins, i2c devices, UART,...)?

thanks, but when I design a form, I will d+d a label into the form (automatically named, probably sth like label_01, label_02, label_03). let's say, label _01 should show the LED state (right side of the buttons), label_02 caption is "pin24" constantly, and label_03 should show the button switch pin...

ah yes!!! Now it's correct! Thank you! :)
Actually that was already the case in my first .pro file version from github which you once have forked! 8-)

about the 2nd problem I couldn't get further...
where can I see the labels in mainwindow.ui where the pin output states are written to?

again tried to reproduce the failure from yesterday but couldn't actually reproduce the hang-up again : I deleted all the build-.../ folders and also the current project project folder and c+p'ed just your project folder from github to my working dir. It does not content a .pro.user file so far. sta...

Re: qtcreator (qt5, qtdesigner): how to access GPIOs (r/w pins, i2c devices, UART,...)?

before I did that, I moved your folder to /home/pi/ then I again created a new project like before, now also named quit_wiringPi in my programs subfolder. build => again correctly an empty main window as before, as expected. Unfortunately I cannot access this forum on my Pi, it's a torture to start ...

Re: qtcreator (qt5, qtdesigner): how to access GPIOs (r/w pins, i2c devices, UART,...)?

I dowloaded the zip file, extracted, and renamed the folder btn_wiringPi_master to btn_wiringPi and copied the folder btn_wiringPi/* contents into my destination folder /home/pi/raspiProgs/Qt/btn_wiringPi/* (deleted all my old files in there before). Re: qtcreator: how to "save (duplicate) project as..."?

Exposing children to C++ is some kind of child abuse. actually we had a little help from a book, C++ für Kids very simple, drag+drop, and the rest was a little plain C-like code just written into the automatic generated event functions (with some object operators), e.g. for a Button, event=ButtonCl...

Re: qtcreator: how to "save (duplicate) project as..."?

I'm afraid you have been spoiled by the speed and simplicity of Borland. I do all my C++, and most other coding in MS Visual Studio Code now a days. As long as I can always easily fall back to Vim and a simple build command I'm happy. I once have learnt programming by Borland Turbo Pascal, Turbo C,...

Re: qtcreator: how to "save (duplicate) project as..."?

Well, there is a procedure for making clones of Qt projects that goes like this: 1) Copy the directory structure. 2) Delete the .pro.user file in the new directory 3) Change the build directory in Projects->Build 4) Modify the name of the .pro file if desired (or edit the TARGET tag in the .pro fil...

Re: qtcreator: how to "save (duplicate) project as..."?

no, I don't want git, I want to have several versions of the same basic project to be changed or expanded step-by-step, providing different features. I want to have all projects in single related directories, accessable arbitrarily. I can do this "save as..." thing in MS Office, in Geany, in Borland...

Re: qtcreator (qt5, qtdesigner): how to access GPIOs (r/w pins, i2c devices, UART,...)?

update: I included those lines in the .pro file and #included <wiringPi.h> in main.cpp, and it can be compiled. When editing the main.cpp e.g. by pinMo it even is suggesting pinMode for auto-complete, so the qt editor obviously knows the correct wiringPi function. Then I added a couple ofs labels, b...

qtcreator: how to "save (duplicate) project as..."?

hello, in qtcreator I I have a project and now want to "save (duplicate) project as..." i.e. by a new name e.g., my current project is test_01 (in a directory test_01) now I want to save all project files by a new name in a new dir and acess them as test_02 (in a directory test_02) but surprisingly ...

thank you, unfortunately pigpio is very hard to use for me, I don't understand the functions, the syntax, and everything. So tbh, I do not understand what your pigpio code actually means. Fortunately, the wiringPi functions remind me of Arduino functions in some respect (even if the syntax and param...

Re: Clone 16 GB SD Card to 8 GB

is there a installation protocol for PINN to non-GUI Stretch? No not really, because PINN (like noobs) is an OS installer and is used to install Raspbian, not the other way round. So you would need to install PINN to the SD card first, then use PINN to install your other OSes, but thereafter you ca...

Re: Clone 16 GB SD Card to 8 GB

it would be wishful if there was such a utility which runs also on non-GUI Raspbians (Jessie, Stretch, e.g. also for retro-Pie and Noobs) to copy SDs with all partitions to smaller ones, on the Pi itself, from a terminal window. PINN (a variation of NOOBS) already contains a "clone" of the SDcard c...

the last device was a USB stick having just 1 FAT32 partition (sda -> sda1)
the error does not show up if the USB stick was NOT "eject"ed and not removed but the Raspi was shutdown and powered-off before.

Re: how to unmount a SD card with 2 partitions completely in a USB card reader (in order to unplug it safely)?

next issue:
after having "eject"ed and then plugged to my Win PC it gives an error that the file system might be damaged and should be checked (perhaps out of unsafe ejecting before).
Checking then does not show up errors though.
Is that normal?
how can this issue be prevented?
