Re: RPI4: Why is everything still 32-bit?

I'm sorry but C is 't the only language out there, even though it is highly dominant (mainly by being around for so long, and being such an integral part of Unix). IMO it is a mess. Other languages which do things in different and better and more useful ways should be encouraged. If the age of the ...

Re: CORRECT RESISTOR FOR 5V LED ARRAY

Considering that the OP has gone to the trouble of editing the data sheet to put the green data at the top under the headings I think it's a fair bet that they are using green leds. Lets give them the benefit of the doubt shall we ?

Also the colour(s) of the LEDs may be relevant. Some colours require significantly more voltage than others.
The OP has helpfully included the data sheet for the Green leds they are using !

There is an issue (and workaround) known for Raspberry Pi 3B/3B+ with Raspbian Stretch when booting from USB.
https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/view ... 8&t=245554
Can you point to the exact post in that thread where the fix is described ?

As RPT Engineer and Moderator you shouldn't call another person, a customer, an idiot, even if they are acting like that. I think you should look at your own attitude every now and then too. It's refreshing to see engineers calling "a spade a spade". Most companies hide their engineers behind "help...

Simples. Eight instances fill up another three bits.

That's an odd number of bits.
It's both odd (not even) and odd (unusual) :-)

Another dangerous item from MagPi

Your tweet of a Pi with a relay board with exposed mains connections is really irresponsible. Do you not have anyone on your editorial staff that has a clue about Health and (Electrical) Safety ? :(

I switched tactics. I stopped, and then disabled the service that controls the fan. Now it just runs continuously when the Pi is on. My temps are now around ~40c with moderate use. Half what I was getting with just the heat sink. And more constant with no swings up and down. :D But only a 3% change...

Re: RPi 4 2GB - Cant set gpu mem above 600 / black screen

## gpu_mem GPU memory in megabytes, sets the memory split between the CPU and GPU; the CPU gets the remaining memory. The minimum value is `16`; the maximum value is `192`, `448`, or `944`, depending on whether you are using a 256MB, 512MB, or 1024MB Pi. The default value is `64`. For the Raspberry...
