Someone needs to look at that page layout. The "hdmi_timings= ....." line just before the "Timing / Purpose" table is about three screens wide !

Re: Raspberry Pi 4B 2GB NOW $35 price drop !

I already have a 4GB version, just ordered the 2GB version today. And added a Pi3A+ for 24.99€ (27.21$) [I did kill my only Pi3A+ some months ago]. This kept shipping cost at same 4.99€ (5.43$) I would have to pay for the 2GB version alone. Both PIs arrived, I just tested them and all is fine (mem ...

Re: Full KMS OpenGL

Thanks for the detailed explanation. 8-) I assume that ultimately you will still be aiming at minimum differencies between the upstream kernel and the one shipped with Raspbian ? I currently have no desire to run anything "experimental" as I'm in the middle of a project and I don't want the platform...

Re: How to get the library GPU_FFT?

Can i use this library (GPU_FFT) to perform real time FFT? You might be able to, but as I wrote it may/may not work depending on which Pi you have and which GPU drivers you have installed. Currently on my Pi4 it fails.. pi@raspberrypi:/opt/vc/src/hello_pi/hello_fft $ ./hello_fft.bin 16 Unable to en...

There is an adapter that transforms the +/- 3.3V signals of the raspberry pi to +/- 12V, RS-232 standard.
Note:
Raspberry Pi outputs are 0v/+3v3 NOT -3.3v/+3.3v.

Re: How to get the library GPU_FFT?

Look in /opt/vc/src/hello_pi/hello_fft BUT It's pretty much un-maintained and doesn't work on PI4s. I don't know the relationship to which of the various (confusing) fake/full/legacy GPU drivers are in use. Last time I did any work with it my tests showed FFTW was just as fast and simpler to use and...

It seems unlikely it should "beta" or "critical" ?

Can anyone explain what these mean and what it should say ?

I'm not sure what the fuss is about. These extra directories are really no different to the "lost+found" directory created in every ext(234) file system.

If you aren't an industrial or commercial user you should't worry about it !
...unless you specifically want a Pi4B1.
In which case you are out of luck and will have to spend the extra £0.00 for a Pi4B2 ! It's really not hard to understand the blog post.

Thanks TL, it looks like they are located directly under the USB-C socket on the underside of the board.

Yes, I didn't think about soldering to the underside of the GPIO pins

Things have moved on since you last used an Arduino ;)

There are other boards like the Teensy that are 3V3/5V tollerant.

If your microcontroller is an Arduino, then there is an ethernet shield and libraries that support socket level programming using TCP/IP. https://store.arduino.cc/arduino-ethernet-shield-2 Even if you aren't using an Arduino there may be some useful hints in the library code. https://www.arduino.cc/e...

Which Pi do you have ? Some of them have 5V test pads which make a convenient point to make soldered connections to the 5V and 0V lines. I've not seen any mention of them on Pi4 boards though. We'd need to know how that partition got there, where it came from, before we can advise you to try to remove it.
Since the advice given has allowed OP to successfully remove the partition (a few post back) your assertion is incorrect !
