I've used CodeSourcery to cross-compile for BeagleBoard's ARMv7.  It should be able to target ARMv6.  Here's a good starting point: http://www.elinux.org/ARMCompilers

<t>I looked up the Archos 7o internet tablet at archos.com and it can boot both Android and the Ångström GNU/Linux distribution.  As others have said above, Android runs on top of Linux, but presents an entirely different user environment.  Ångström is similar to other GNU/Linux distros, providing a...

A text version of "Hunt the Wumpus" is a nice size IMO.  It a nice, gentle introduction to data structures.

Re: WooT, Updated shipping timeframe (at least for me. Newark/Element14)

I get the same behavior.  April 3rd is what Newark said on the original order form.  I got e-mail a couple of days after I ordered estimating May 14th.  I suspect the April 3rd in the order status is erroneous.

You'll probably get follow-up e-mail with a later date.  That's what happened to me with Newark / element14: "Expected to ship Apr 3, 2012" on the order form and a new estimate of May 14 a day or two later.
