Re: Gstreamer 1.0 for raspbian

Hello. I'm fighting to compile the latest gst-omx (from git) testegl example on raspberry. I use gstreamer 1.0.7 precompiled from vontaene.de/raspbian-updates/ repository The gst-omx is compiled sucessfully but testegl is not compiled at all. I have also question if it is possible to compile testegl...

Camera output to EGLImage

Hello. I'm quit fond of quality and speed of the new RASPI camera. I've gone over the all camera topic and found only a small mentions about processing output of camera in OpenGL ES. So I think it's worthy to make a topic how to get images from camera directly to opengl es without help of host cpu. ...

Re: OpenMAX: How to decode a JPEG (example source code)

I have the same problem as rudy01 reports. But I'm using the source code originally written by Matt Ownby (no use of ilclient) and adapted to render to texture. It decodes jpeg files ok, but sometimes (around 50 - 150 decoded pictures) it SIGSEGV with this : [Switching to Thread 0xb698c460 (LWP 3111...

Re: OpenMax rendering onto OpenGL texture

I still can not succeed with correctly ending the video file. I've tried your example and it doesn't finish correctly either. It exits in callback my_fill_buffer_done with message "OMX_FillThisBuffer failed in callback". If I comment the exit(1) in callback the ending procedure stuck in fu...

Re: OpenMax rendering onto OpenGL texture

thanks OtherCrashOverride for hit. I have done the OMX_IndexParamPortDefinition on the video decoder component and I get the right video resolution. Thanks again for hint. I don't have any example how to do the eglimage stuff with opengl share context and I wasn't able to find it out so I'm trying t...

Re: OpenMax rendering onto OpenGL texture

Thanks OtherCrashOverride for your code. I've test it and it works ok. But I have question. In your code you need to know before you compile the source code what is the resolution of the video ( to create appropriate eglimage). Do you think is it possible to adapt your code somehow to print out the ...

Re: SDL and OpenGL ES

Thanks jmacey for your code. It helps me a lot.
But in my application I need to set video mode to 1x1 resolution. When I use 0x0 a get whole black screen and the program stuck in SDL_SetVideoMode. I'm using the standard debian sdl1.2 package.

Re: Seal Broken - What should I do?

I have the same experience. I got on Friday 19th the pink package from RS.... The Raspi is working. The PCB is the first version. Are RS really sending the PCB in revision 1.0 in this time ? @cmarty: When was your Pi shipped? And did it come direct from RS in the UK or another distributor? If you r...

Re: Seal Broken - What should I do?

I have the same experience. I got on Friday 19th the pink package from RS. On the one side the seal was broken and the package look like somebody else opened it before. The PCB board looks like it has been used before (fingerprints on ethernet connector, the describtion on ARM was hardly read ...) T...

Re: OpenMAX: How to decode a JPEG (example source code)

I'm trying to do the same. To use hello_triangle sample and your openmax.o to get jpeg image projected onto the cube. But program got stuck in function decodeImage in while(decoder->pOutputBufferHeader->nFilledLen > 0) { sleep(5) } where the nFilledLen isn't changing anymore and has still value == B...
