Re: How to create the smallest image possible?

I have a extremely minimal image that does two things displays and image to the framebuffer and then boots a other partition the size is 910K this does include the kernel as any bootable pi kernel will do. You have no kernel drivers and a very limited command pool. The image is an initramfs and can ...

Re: Argon40 1 Case - Review

To expand on that last answer GPIO 4 and the I2C are in use. The one wire interface will conflict with the power button in it's default configuration.

Re: Argon One Replacement Daemon

Good catch! I'm working on 0.3.0 right now I will look into your suggestion and make sure I have better error catching and reporting. I was also looking into seeing if I can detect a GPIO conflict. My power button handling seems to need more attention than I've given it. I also don't have feedback f...

Excellent, and the CPU usage is staying low?

I appreciate your testing, and bringing this issues to my attention. If this all works well I'll apply this patch to the project.

Re: Seeking interest and support in a game designed for Rpi

In the words of James Veitch "I'm in!"

I agree the raspberry Pi is a very powerful bit of kit and your project reminds me of the old demo scene pushing the hardware to the limit ideals. I look forward to seeing what you can come up with.

Good luck with the project!

Re: *your* opinions on init ? ( osx , bsd* , linux , ect??? )

Personally I do work with buildroot so choosing the right init for the project is important. I like to stick with busybox's init for it's simplicity and space saving. However if I need something more powerful I would choose systemd. Also I do a lot with initramfs trying to build small environments s...

Re: The Raspberry Pi 400 thread!

The only test I could think of would be a speed test. However I'm far from an expert in this, what I can say for sure is that even though the signal says it's not as strong I can watch full 1080P HD from YouTube without issue. So I'm only seeing that the little applet says the signal is lower but th...

Are you using 2.4 or 5 GHz? I'm just curious since my 2.4 GHz signal is always strong. My router is maybe 1or 2 meter away just across the room.
