Re: Is this possible to boot the raspberry pi B+ model using USB drive?

For starters a USB drive
Then a psu rated 5v 2.4A ( use any phone charger at your own risk)
Then flash RPiOS to the USB drive
Connect other computer peripherals of your choice
Power up the setup. It should boot from the USB drive

is your Lubuntu using pcManFM as file manager? if so.... that file manager suffers from "digital demetia", no matter how many times one select "Remember Forever" during network share accessing, it always 100% forgets it. other file managers like Thunar can be made to "remember" those credentials. right click the speaker icon that appears in the top right of your monitor (just like the one shown above)
from there you should be able to see
Analog
HDMI
USB audio

select the USB audio

sometimes you may or may not need to reboot to have it activate.

Either you extract it using a few passive components
or use a DAC audio board designed for the RPiZW
Like the pimoroni pHAT DAC

Really 2 AND 4 for 5V? I use one of those 2 for the 5V supply (6 for GND) We had the cable discussion before (in your special thread on buck converters), I tested the copper cable I use in other setups with pis, no undervoltage. https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=266296&sid=1de...

that's really odd, well I can only say from my experience with a RPiZW that I've used as a Kodi player
audio does output from the HDMI port
as its a desktop installation (Raspbian Stretch minimal desktop though), I've also confirmed HDMI audio when I played some low res YT videos.
