Re: CP2102N Driver

just a little while ago I used a CP2102 based USB to TTL adapter to flash (several times) an ESP8266 with a test script (Blink) using Arduino IDE on a RPi3B with Raspbian Stretch Desktop.

no drivers needed.... its plug and play for me....

setting ownership and permissions on a FAT(16 or 32) formatted drive is an exercise in futility...

change drive format type..... or give up.....

I tried too.... and changed the drive format type (the logical thing to do....)

Re: Suggested USB3 to SATA adaptors (without power!) - what works well for you?

Am using Eluteng "Blue" SATA to USB3.0 adaptors on my RPi2BNAS (with 2.5" Seagate 4TB HDD) and Rock64NAS (with 2.5" WesternDigital 4TB on USB3.0 and 2.5" Marshall 1TB HDD on USB2.0) I like it because of its short thick cable and the activity lights. Re: Raspberry Pi 4 as a primary desktop computer?

I was able to to this on my RPi3B+
RPi3B+Desktop_vnc_RPi3B.jpg
RPi3B+Desktop_vnc_RPi3B.jpg (233.25 KiB) Viewed 3547 times
myRPi3B+Desktop.jpg
myRPi3B+Desktop.jpg (104.01 KiB) Viewed 3547 times

doing this on the RPi4B-4G will be a "piece of cake"
also tested google maps (with 8 other tabs open, including this forum).... was more responsive now than when I did it on the RPi3B+ (was horrible then).

Where did you get the GPIO pin cover? Can I punch a hole for the fan power? How do you power fan via the power-in port? its a simple 40-pin header with the pins plucked out... leaving only the ones on the diagonal end and cutting off the excess. on my other GPIO covers... I plucked out the pins on ...
