Re: NOOBS not working

This suggests that NOOBS is booting but isn't being displayed on your monitor.

Could you describe your display setup? Does it usually work with the Pi?

Re: Noobs setup.....blank screen

Hi Mick,

Could you talk me through the steps you used to install NOOBS?

Also, could you tell me what kind of display your using and how it's connected?

Re: NOOBS and blank display

The easiest way to test this is to download the files from https://github.com/raspberrypi/noobs/tree/dev/output and copy to a FAT formatted SD card (just as you would with the normal NOOBS zip). You can then add your own config.txt before first boot to test if the settings are honoured. Any feedback...

Re: Groan, the goal posts moved again.

I don't really understand your negativity - Raspbian Wheezy is still the recommended OS and you can still image it directly onto an SD card as before. The only change is that people who struggled with the SD card imaging operation can now use this easier tool. Advanced users are welcome to ignore it...

Re: NOOBS and blank display

Could you try with the "gpu_mem" entry removed? The config.txt file will override all config settings so should only contain settings that relate to HDMI (otherwise you are in danger of stopping NOOBS from working correctly). In this case the gpu_mem will setting will fail and possibly cause NOOBS n...

Re: NOOBS and blank display

If you copy a known-good config.txt onto the SD card along with the other NOOBS files, the settings in that file will override the NOOBS defaults. That will allow you to configure the HDMI settings as required.

Re: Codecs ordered and payed for but not received

Hi Lumpyone,

All emails sent to [email protected] have now been dealt with.

Can you please confirm that you have received your license keys?

Best,

Rob

Re: Codecs ordered and payed for but not received

Hi Michel, The codecs are automatically emailed to the address you provided within 24 hours after the order has been placed with the store. I suspect that if you haven't received the codes it will be due to either a typo in the address you provided or your mail service blocking the email by incorrec...

Re: US Hackspace Tour discussion and planning

Hi,

During my hackspace tour I visited Google in Mountain View where they recorded this talk for their TechTalks series on YouTube.

It's probably the closest thing to being at the talks you can get until I'm next on the road!

Best,

ruwin - I don't think it distinguishes between Indiecity Developers and those who are Pi Store focussed, hence the apparently large number of devs signed up.

Re: Introducing the Pi Store!

I can confirm that any submissions to the store are manually checked before they are approved to be listed for download. The main things that we're checking for are that it runs without error on the Pi and doesn't contain any illegal content, themes or copyright/license infringements.

Re: License keys emails

Hi All, My apologies for any inconvenience caused by this - it was a minor error that affected only a small number of t-shirt orders over a short period before I noticed it. Anyone who received a blank license email can rest assured that they have not been given nor been charged for any license orde...

Re: US Hackspace Tour discussion and planning

Is Rob coming to Charlotte Hackerspace or will he be in the Charlotte, North Carolina area? I am a member of the Charlotte Hackerspace and a school teacher in Charlotte who is beginning to use Raspeberry Pi in the classroom. I would be happy to take you out to lunch and show you our school if Rob i...

Re: US Hackspace Tour discussion and planning

What should Show & Tell participants expect? How much time will be allotted for each presenter? Firstly let me say that the events are very informal - think of it more like a homebrew computing meet than a planned event. It's really just a chance for Raspberry Pi enthusiasts to meet up, ask me ques...

If you could tweet me a link to any material generated during the Jam I'll make sure it gets out to the wider community.

You can ask Mark about what happened to his internet traffic after he tweeted me his beginner guide! :-)
