Quick update,

Emailed element14's au-sales (Australia), and they gave me everything i needed to return and get it replaced, including credit for the original. Will take 2-3 weeks, but the UK's a long way away.

I'm actually pleasantly surprised with how good the customer service was.

My pi has the power light come on, but then quickly fades out. I tried unplugging everything but i think the short is with the power supply, the voltage reg does get pretty warm. Now it's not turning on at all. Element14 won't give us the password to get in and contact them either (forgot it) :evil:...
