Re: bme280 on i2c problem

if you want 1 wire then it's dht11 or similar Your BME280 is being detected at i2c address 0x77 There should be code for this sensor but *ONLY* use code that has a BOSCH license. BOSCH are totally on top over license for BME280/BMP280 and there is no way anyone could develop a CLASS driver for these...

Re: Ultrasonic Sensor (DistanceSensor) not working

Just to make you aware all distances outside the sensor limits have to be ignored 2cm - 4m. When the object isn't square to the sensor the sonic beam gets reflected on a huge journey.
Also raspberry pi may switch you job out in the critical section i.e. timing the echo

Re: Ultrasonic Sensor (DistanceSensor) not working

Hi, i've got one of these and it works. I've got working code, but haven't put it in a public repository. When working with GPIO pins there are 2 naming/numbering schemes `GPIO.setmode.(GPIO.BOARD)` where the pins are numbered like this 1 2 3 4 5 6 etc and `GPIO.setmode(GPIO.BCM)` broadcom numbering...

Yet another mpr121 keypad driver class. Mine's both light weight using posix to communicate over i2c. And easy to use. The keypad class has a dictionary of 12 keys. Each of these objects has easy to use methods to interrogate current and previous keypad usage. KEYPAD.key[1].is_pressed() Download it ...

bme280 - i2c weather sensing from Bosch

Hi, I've written a simplified driver class for the Bosch bme280 humidity, pressure & temperature sensor. It can be found at https://github.com/rhubarbdog/bme280 The example program reads the weather every 2 seconds and prints the result to the terminal. Download the source and run it by typing pytho...

To test the voltage on pins 2 and 4 i just use F-M jumper wires and a multi meter. One wire on a ground one on a power pin. Nothing from my 5 volt pins but 3.3volt still ok

Re: 20x4 i2c lcd lines out of order.

I've done some research and the initial fork from Arduino put the code in public domain, I'm going to use the GNU license and hope the guy on Amazon who did some of the conversion to raspberry pi didn't put a license on it.
