Re: How do I create an image of the RPI already installed.

sure sounds easy, had not tried yet, but I will!

Now, let's say that the SDHC card is 16GB, I take the image and store it in a PC. Then I want to use a 32GB SDHC card to place that image, will it work?

I was discussing the fact that this device comes already configured with android ICS and has 4GB of internal storage and 1GB of memory. For the price of less than $70 US dollars is kinda of a competitor to the RPI? (I own 2 RPI's) ht...

Re: NO HDMI Output - VGA is OK

well that's estrange, I plugged the phono socket composite video to my AV2 connection on my HDTV and I got video but like 640x400 (400 something). So that's what I'm calling VGA, but in any case is an alternative to use HDMI, and when I use one and can not use the other.

NO HDMI Output - VGA is OK

I was working with the RPI, I have installed Debian Wheezy beta, it was working fine in the HDMI display, last thing I did was 'sudo apt-get upgrade', after that I did several times 'sudo reboot' so the HDMI display was always ON. But then I unplug the Power supply and restarted the board, now there...

@rhockett94

Code: Select all

route -n and it tells me that the destination for the second entry is 192.168.0.0 . My router is at 0.1, not 0.0

Actually the route -n output you got is fine. As for a 192.168.0.X IP address with mask 255.255.255.0, the network address is 192.168.0.0

Re: Kernel Panics - any way to auto reboot?

I have a question.

in the command:

sudo dd bs=1M if=/dev/mmcblk0p2 of=/mnt/usb/RPI_Backup

shouldn't be the final file an .img (as in RPI_Backup.img) (an image so that later can be written to an sdcard? I'm newbie with the dd command.
