Re: Is 5.7v too much Vdc for the RPi?

SirLagz: thanks your replying. I was hoping for a response from someone who knows whats going to happen to the BRCM chip or the other USB peripherals that are attached to the system. The R-Pi schematics say "USB Power Input 5V and 700mA min" , but nothing about the maximum input voltage

Re: Raspberry Jams - Silicon Valley

Jim,
Good to hear your first Jam went off without a hitch. And, sorry to hear you lost one of your Pi boards. I hope it gets returned to you.

Re: Weather Pi project

lazychino: thanks. I am still in research mode too. as I am still waiting for my RPi units to arrive. ever heard of Visailia. (sp?) they make these all-in-one weather stations for about $600. really high end stuff. I wanna do that only much cheaper.

Weather Pi project

I'm looking to build a Weather Station based on the RPi. I think I am going to use some multi-channel ADCs like the MCP3424. (4-channels on each chip ). I need about 6 channels total. It seems like Morphy_Richards in this forum has laid down a lot of ground work already using these chips on the I2C ...

Are the Gertboards here?

Gert / Liz: Can we get an update on the status of the Gertboard? I am very interested in getting one for my 10 year old son who wants to use it for a project. Also, is the printed circuit board itself available from any distributors ( either UK or US ) ? I don't mind ordering the circuit board and t...

Re: Raspberry Jams - Silicon Valley

I'm down in San Diego. Any thought to a live video stream? it doesn't have to be great quality just something with audio and hopefully it covers the Speaker and the large 55" screen you're getting. :)

Re: Gertboard

Gert, My 10 year old son and I appreciate all your efforts to get this worked out with Farnell. We ordered the RPi about 2 weeks ago and still have about 6 more weeks to go before it ships to us. We would like to order the Gertboard next for our 'Father and Son' project. Cheers! And keep up the grea...
