I also have purchased a Rasp 3 B from Amazon, (branded box from RS) and it has this persistent smell of fried electrolithic capacitors. But it works, yes, but it still the smell is here after one week of power up. If you from Raspberry Foundation plan to take some action about it, please let me know...
