But the problem is it does not work.....help plz
Error output or log?

If you're going to copy and paste code written by someone else, you should at least provide the error log output so others can fix it for you.

Re: How to restore rewritten version of CSV file?

Retrieving deleted files is one thing; recovering overwritten files is another, and much more difficult, problem. Yep. But you don't know if the same SD card memory location was overwritten unless you check for it first. Telling an application to overwrite a specific file is no guarantee that the s...

Re: How to restore rewritten version of CSV file?

On an ext4 file system retrieval of deleted files even with the file name is possible due to file system journal. The recovery result depends on the time the file system remains in operation after file deletion. So, if you've done much more data writing, your chances decrease with time and usage. Go...

Re: Trouble to configure HotSpot WIFI with RPi Zero W

Did you ask in their forum? https://dietpi.com/phpbb/viewforum.php?f=5

It's possible the DietPi OS is broken in some way so directing your question to that forum might get you a solution a bit quicker.

Re: Simple questions Xcode

So, what difference does it make if its Swift or Python of Java or C++, what difference does it make if its Xcode or some other compiler, what difference does it make if its on the Pi itself or on the another computer? Because the code has to run on different CPU architectures. It's not always "wri...

Go for it. Learn some Python programming and start working on it. https://www.python.org/about/gettingstarted/ Produce some code, show a personal effort and you may get some help. Just telling others what you want to do without showing any personal effort yourself, posting code you created for examp...

Re: Im struggling with my first job at work

All I Need is a confirmation that it can be done with Raspbian stretch / stretch Lite. It would seem the best people to contact would be the retailers concerning OS compatibility. However, you can take the safe route and use Jessie which it's known to work. I don't see much of an advantage of using...

You can look at the Xorg.0.log file for hints as to what is still broken.

There it is.

You can find it in his first post: viewtopic.php?f=37&t=216976&p=1334294#p1334294

This is evidently part of a competition so I wonder how much "help" he's allowed to have.

Re: does this display fit to Raspi - does it work with Raspi

Offhand, after looking at the data sheet, I'd say "only with a lot of work" and even then, maybe not. You need the hardware controller interface and device drivers at the least.

Cheers.

Re: 2 USB Microphones, Separate Channels, Podcasting

Generally speaking, you'll want to check out which audio system you want, PulseAudio, OSS, ALSA and then Jack for making the connections to your mics. Here's a bit of starter: http://www.penguinproducer.com/Blog/2011/11/using-multiple-devices-with-jack/ Audacity works over the top of both the audio ...

Re: Powering Up the ESP8266

But how to supply power to it? There are a number of ESP8266 available with differing power requirements. According to the spec sheet I've read, the ESP8266 requires 3.0-3.6vdc, 60-215mA, 80mA average, so it could be connected to your RPi for power. Also if the sensor is placed outside, how to supp...

Your solution reminds my of Douglas Adams quote: “Solutions nearly always come from the direction you least expect, which means there’s no point trying to look in that direction because it won’t be coming from there.”

Well, heck. At this point, I have to admit to being out of ideas. Usually at least one of the methods works but this beats me. I used MySQL some years back but switched to Sqlite when I started coding for embedded devices. My mySQL-fu has gotten weaker it seems. If anything else comes to mind happyd...

/usr/sbin/dpkg-reconfigure: mysql-server is broken or not fully installed Nothing like having a piece of hardware stating the obvious, eh? Ah, a CD not a USB. Well, either way, it will be "interesting" to work out how a live CD borked your SD card boot ... I'll have to plug in my USB DVD and give it a try sometime. Can anyone recommend a Linux distribution which they know will allow me to read/write to my Rasbian installation on microS...
