How to remove the black border?

Hi all,

I tried to remove the border running;

$ sudo nano /boot/config.txt
uncomment disable_overscan=1

-> save and exit

$ systemctl reboot
to reboot Raspbian

After booting the black border is still there.

Glad it worked in the end! You missed out the "sync" after the dd. The problem is that anything written to a disk just gets put in the disk cache in memory and written out sometime later on. So if you did the dd and immediately afterwards pulled the SD card out, you might lose some of the data! (th...

RaspberryPi is completely new to me.

Can I connect the SDCard to PC on a card reader and make installation there. After finish plugin the SDCard back to RaspberryPi board?
